I played as a Loyalist without cannisters, and found the Rotghroth to be by far the most potent creation. I didn't use the cannisters, like any Loyal Shaper shouldn't. After all, Shaping oneself is barred by the Shaper Council. For that reason I also didn't allow myself to be altered by Tolleran, Resnick, or the Drakon on the Isle of Spears. I did think it was a shame that I couldn't create drayks though. [ Tuesday, August 02, 2005 05:53: Message edited by: SupaNik ] -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Salutations. If only I could leave, and then triumphantly return with a tale to tell like yours... I would be showered with glory and praise, and the occasional jam doughnut. Welcome back. (EDIT: I've jusy learned you're from (or in) Lincoln! I love that place, and am applying to go to university there!) quote:I couldn't help but laugh at this! The only way it could have been more funny was if it was "THE Pregnancy Scare". That would have been perfect. Well, I have two equally scary moments. One is a deep, heavy feeling of fear, the other one a moment of shock/terror. One involves the love of my life and a busy road. I won't say more. The other is less nasty - playing Silent Hill in a darkened room, with surround sound. For anyone who knows the game, you could tell when a monster was near because your radio buzzed. Well, my friend crept into the room while I was playing it, and turned the radio on, and began tuning it. I have never jumped so high! EDIT: Actually, scrub that. In response to the above photo, Harry Potter as a goth wins. [ Tuesday, August 02, 2005 05:27: Message edited by: SupaNik ] -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. It's unlikely Jeff will bother to deal with such a little bug as this. He might address it if a bigger fix is needed though, but as it is? Unlikely. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? *Name by Slarty, so blame him if it's filthy... quote:The problem with this is that any training the party recieved will not be accounted for. For instance, a level 1 party is given special skills in RoR. In the HLPM, no such thing exists - you must train in all skills with skill points. As good as the HLPM is, I still find that I prefer to use parties I level up through scenarios. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? This post contains some minor spoilers... - - - - - - - - - - - As the FAQ states, give Pro-Shaper opinions early in the game. That way you can get lots training early on, like from Diwanyia. You can still do rebellious things though (like handing over the book to Scintle(?) and helping Lankan and the rebels on Harmony Isle). In order to make the strongest creations, you will need to use the cannisters, and keep Kyrhyk and the Drakon in the Breeding Pit alive (his name eludes me). At least until you have been trained by them... That way you can get three pints in Gazer and Rotghroth. You cannot make an Ur-Drakon (which makes sense, since it requires a Geneforge). Oh, and there is a new ability to create items with an enchanted anvil. Read the FAQ for recipes. People here can easliy guess my name too. In fact, it might be in my profile... 'Tis indeed. I'm very open with you guys. My online alias is exactly like me in real life. I'm moody and depressive here as well! As well as this, I don't mind people Googling my name "Nikki Jeffery", and seeing if they can spot the brace-wearing-British-insomniac-coffee-drinker amongst the rabble. Seriously, a lot of you know a lot about me, and with the information I hand out to you lot, you could easily find out where I am, and all other kinds of stuff. And if I wanted to post something rude and offensive I would do. There's no point in trying to be somebody else in my opinion. You usually get caught out, and realise the real you is a lot better. quote:Awww! Why do you think that? I'd say they do work. If you love someone enough, distance shouldn't be a problem. Not with the internet. And you can always see them at holidays, etc. The thing is, if it's permenantly distanced, it will be pretty much impossible. After all, you wouldn't see them enough. And if you're like me, worried they'll meet someone better. But if you plan to marry, why not wait a little while, and be far apart? I see no harm in that. -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

I voted for Queen, because apart from that and "Yellow Submarine", the others aren't great songs. I'd love to hear someone sing either "Creep" (Radiohead) or a Morrisey song... -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. Well, first of all, there is a difference between sleepiness and tiredness. I'm often tired, but never sleepy. If you want to tire yourself out, I've heard exercise is good. Sleepiness though is harder... I'd suggest you just go with it. If you really can't sleep, why waste time trying. One or two missed nights won't hurt, especially if you're not at school anymore. -------------------- "I am a living sign..." Thus endeth this post. I regularly play football and will occasionally dip into the wonderful world of cricket. I love playing Championship Manager (loving called ChampMan), and Football Manager. And Spiderweb games. Scrabble and Chess are about the only boardgames I play regulalry. Most others get an airing once a year at Christmas. Oh, and I adore Cheapass games. But then we could use them back at the newcomers, and with more style and flair. Then they would run away, terrified of our asthetic might. (Edit: is "asthetic" the word I want? I mean "prettiness". I don't trust strangers easily. Perhaps my sleeplessness has caused lots of paranoia? People, on the other hand, seem to burden me with all manner of problems. Does anybody eat those cereal bars? I tried a Wheetos one today (it came free with some Wheetos), and it tasted awful. Somehow they managed to solidify milk, and lump it on the bottom of a pile of Wheetos. I had one bite and threw it away. Has anybody started taking bets yet? Alorael with his LIMITED amount of ammunition, and slow, human reflexes, versus the might of Stughalf's ferret attack force. I know who I'm betting on. The only possible ways for Alorael to win are: a) To purchase nuclear/biological weapons. b) To train cobras to attack the ferrets c) Remind us all he is safely hidden in Alaska, where it is far too cold for the ferrets. Even with their faux fur coats. I like plan A. He could probably get a good deal from the Ukrainians... Of course, although posting doesn't leave thick black tar in your lungs. As far as the scientists can tell... As for nostalgia, get a little plaque put on your wall which reads something completely unrelated to the Spiderweb Forums, but with a little SW logo. That way, you can remember the good times without having to log in! On topic, I recently completed Avernum, although I got little enjotyment from it. I had to pick out all bits of information about the founding of Avernum for a BoA scenario. If it was the registered version, I had the same problem. The email Jeff sends you, or which you recieve from SpidWeb if it isn't Jeff, states that you might need to use Internet Explorer. AOL didn't do it either. [ Tuesday, July 26, 2005 06:45: Message edited by: SupaNik ] -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know?
