The only Latin I know is:

Mortigi Tempo

Actually, I'm not sure it is Latin, but it sounds the part. It means "killing time".

QuickTime should work for both PCs and Macs. Failing that, try and get Windows Media Player. That seems to work.

I haven't finished the game with a cannister-using Loyalist, no. All I know is that when a cannister-using Rebel goes home, a Shaper comes to kill you. Whether this is because you are really powerful or what, I don't really know.

Me too. I just don't have the time/money to do anything like learning to drive. I don't even own a bike - I walk or catch a bus/train.

My dream car would either be the Batmobile (the orignal one, not the new one), or a red Peaguot 106. Not any 106, it must be a specific one. For reasons that are less than clear...

This is just wrong, in my opinion. Abortion, to me at least, equals murder. And that isn't a religious viewpoint either.

The biggest danger I can think of now, which has been mentioned, is meaning. If we create somebody, aren't we removing any higher purpose from them? We, as a species, have long wondered why we are here. Wouldn't creating a clone take that away from them?

"Hate speech..." Oh Drakey...!

I think the Anama are okay. That's all. I joined when I played Exile, because Avatar was incredible, but in Avernum I felt slightly cheated. Being a big fan of Haste level 3, I didn't want to forfiet my mage. And I felt that stowing her away in Fort Emergence was too much like cheating.

I can see the for and against points to their argument, but as far as I can see, magic saved their lives. Was not the Phoneix Egg magically made (by Vahnatai, if Purgat... the mage man's words are to be listened to)?

No, if the Anama really existed, I would not join.

In fact, it might be better to start from scratch. Previous ports (of which there have only been two) could just as easily been redone.

And as for RoR, it was redone, mostly.

The worlds of BoA and BoE are totally different. And BoA is far more flexible. You might consider porting manually.

To be fair, Bahs is better for it's difficulty. Because, yes, I did find it hard. That annoying summoning altar...grr...

Anyway, after replaying all scenarios, I now have a top 5 (only my opinions):

Fifth will be Druids. This is good, and had an average plot. It's also more polished and longer than other contenders.

Fourth is Emerald Mountain. I loved this. It had good plot, slightly branching story, and gorgeous terrain. I liked this more than Backwater Calls, so...

Third will be Canopy. I especially think that the custom spells will do TM a big favour here, and it's a sizeable scenario, with lots of towns, and some really interesting dialogue, not to mention a great plot.

Secondly, I put Mad Ambition. The linearity drags slightly, but this contains by far the most "real" characters we've yet seen in BoA. Plus a good plot, and some amazingly clever tricks, make it a hot favourite.

That means my money's on Bahs to win. This is becasue although MA is my favourite, Kelandon worked wonders in every way. It has an incredible plot, lots of amazing scripting, and is large enough, and hard enough, to get us thinking about replaying.

They seem like a friendly bunch at least. I think I can get Exile to work on XP. I did some "tinkering" this morning. I'll post there in a minute...

{Oh, and for anyone wanting to know, right clicking the program and selecting to run in Compatability mode worked for me. (Oh, I chose Win95))

Hmm. I think it's right to create organs for transplant, since not to do so may result in the loss of human life. That should be avoided, in my opinion, at any cost.

But creating people? What is to stop us then creating armies of humans? And then manipulating the genes, which we can do, and making them subserviant(sp?)? It might seem far-fetched, but it's there.

Also, remember the outrage at the first IVF baby? This is likely to be worse.

As with anything, there is a thin line. Doing it with noble intentions may be good and all that, but when an infertile couple go to a doctor and ask for a baby, would it be right to give them one through cloning? Is it God's will? And, if there is a Higher Being, surely even creating organs is against his plan.

I don't know the details of the arguments. These are just things that come to me now. But if we are to do it...

I just get images of "Brave New World" coming to me from dark recesses of my mind. Despite the good it could do...

(Edit: 1/2 K)

You scored as Satanism.
Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

Satanism 79%
agnosticism 71%
atheism 71%
Buddhism 42%
Paganism 42%
Islam 33%
Christianity 29%
Hinduism 25%
Judaism 21%

Well that was a surprise, since I consider myself to be an atheist. Actually, I AM an atheist. I don't belief at all. Therefore, I conclude that the test is flawed...

Or I'm not as sure as I think...

Yes, in theory. But in practice the arrogance would mean that as soon they asked you to do something, you'd say that you were above the task and not listen.

Plus, YOU would be an illegal creature. They'd kill you.

I don't think "A Large Rebellion" will make it. I downloaded this and immediately stopped. I thought it was awful.

My money is on "Bahssikava", "Canopy" or "Mad Ambition".

I think it's safe to say that the guy has some issues. And coming from me, that's serious stuff...

It just goes to show you that people can be stupid. I mean, how much money has the guy got from "time machine" selling? Hmm... that gives me an idea...

Someone grab a toaster, a deckchair and a clock, and meet me round the back of the bikesheds in 20 minutes.

Edit: Googling didn't throw anythig up but this...

"John Doe is the name given in official documents when the name of a person is not known (In this case, for a death certificate)."

Have we been had?

Aran's piano recording was awesome. I'll try and get me playing on my guitar later on. If it's okay Kelandon, I'll email it to you...

Marlenny sounds nothing like I'd imagined her, for some reason, but I've always had a problem with people on here. For instance, it took several months for me to get over the fact that Kel was a guy. I don't know why I though he was a she, but there you go. It might explain my trouble at getting dates... :P

Also, Stughalf, despite seeing and hearing him, still takes upon the shape of something completely different in my world.
