:) Again a celebration cake for the fresh baked spam-king. I had troubles though to place 1000 candles.

Heck, look at Alo... :) (Did he spam a lot?)

Just congratulated a lot, really.

Congratulations, Toenail!

And you use your sig. It creates the illusion that you are smart and your posts are long.

Mostly that they're not just one line and that the scrounging it takes to add a sig onto an otherwise one-line post makes it less spammy.

Wow, this topic certainly has attracted more attention than I thought it would.

And for the record Marvin, Mhuahahaha is my thing. Just like Alorael's thing is taking cyber drugs. :P

...Yeah, since it's in a computer game. Well, two to be exact...

Just don't tell him. He's touchy about it. (Actually, he's not. I'm making up stuff again.)

I think the race to reach 10,000 is now the biggie. 1000 just isn't what it used to be in these dark, dark, days of spam...

Alorael obviously gets it somewhere.

Anyway, the race to 10,000 isn't that interesting in that the winner is pretty obvious, Drakey's only chance is to put on a mad spam spree, which I think he is capable of, but it would set a bad example for some newbies, him being the admin and all.

And then you never know when Mariann will finally decide to change forum software, if ever.

I have to have my orders shipped from a number of locations as no producers grow enough individually. Bigail has some very fine crops, and so does California.

—Alorael, who wouldn't stop watching the races yet. A post deficit of several hundred may seem insurmountable, but several members are gaining by several hundred posts each month. It will be interesting to see who gets to 20,000 first (in 2009).

Speaking of posts, has anyone ever reached 10,000+ posts before? I'm gussing that Alorael is trying to become the first to do it, since he has close to 9,400 posts at the moment.

Edit Post 1: Ah, I just noticed that I've gotten my 100th post today. Insignificant, but a baby step towards 1,000. At this rate, it'll take me a year or two, since the fall college term is coming soon.

Edit Post 2: Hmm, interesting new title, "Citizen of Exile". No "Citizen of Avernum"?

Why thank you. :) It's not going to be too long.

But wow. Talk of 20,000 posts already. That's a lot.

If I banned Alorael and went on a gigantic posting spree, I could get to 10000 first. But I'm content to sit back here quietly.

Second comes right after first. I think that Thuryl will have taken over TM's spot in 3rd by the time that he is unbanned. That is, if he chooses to come back.

I propose a new contest: rather than attempting to accumulate the largest post count, or beat others to it, I say you go for the lowest post count to member number ratio. It's too late for me, but I'm sure some of you could excel at this. Why not give it a try?

The title "Citizen of Exile" was probably created before Avernum, many of the forum members prefer Exile to Avernum, and in my opinion, "Citizen of Exile" just sounds better.

Register a new account. Easy as that.

And yes, I'm doing it still. A few weeks ago, I bluffed and said I was leaving, but I returned far sooner than I anticipated (it was a time issue, and I turned out to be far less stressed than I felt). So yes, you can expect the next count this weekend, or by the 17th.

Since I learnt MySQL earlier this month, I'm planning to make the data more easily accessible in a database form, but I'm not yet quite sure if that will work by this month or the next.

Special nicknames are over rated. For all it's worth I think that "Citizen of Exile", "Adept" etc sound just as good as any custom title.
