Here's my result:

You scored as Christianity.

Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian. Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people's sins.

Paganism 29%

Well, the Agnosticism/Atheism is accurate. I don't know where the Paganism came into it, but probably the nature questions (I'm a treehugger). My tendency between Agnostic and Atheist varies from day to day, and while I am reading a debate on Church/State, I usually turn more atheist - which would explain this.

That said, I was beginning to fear this might be slanted from the "you should consider being baptized" remark, but I did another run with satanist responses, and it gave an accurate definition of that. So, oddly as it might be in today's world, it appears to be a neutral test.

You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Your beliefs are most similar to those of Islam. Do more research on Islam and possibly consider taking the shahadah and officially becoming a Muslim, if you aren't already. Despite the actions of some - who go against the teachings of Islam - Islam is a religion of peace; the word "islam" means "peace through submission to God." "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." Islam is the third of the three Abrahamic faiths, and it shares much with Judaism in Christianity; its differences are the acceptance of Muhammad as the last and final prophet, and the oneness of God - in other words, that Jesus, though he was a revered prophet, was not in fact God, and only one God exists. Apparently the Taliban could not read (though their name means "students"), because the Qur'an states that men and women are equal as believers, and that all believers should be educated and seek knowledge. Modesty in dress and behavior is required in Islam for both men and women to preserve the values of society and move the emphasis from superificial appearance to intelligence, knowledge, and God.

Um. That was unexpected. I suppose it makes sense, after reading the description, but still. I didn't know Christianity (the usual Church religions, I mean) was that far from what I actually believe in. Interesting result, definitely.

Satanists do not worship the devil, or at least those defined by this quiz do not. The "Satanic" mindset the quiz identifies is the belief that no authority is higher than the self, and one is free to do what one wants.

This is Philosophical Satanism, or LaVeyan Satanism, and somewhat related (though not identical) to solipsism, egotism and nihilism. Arguably, it is a Bad Thing (essentially, it's anarchy, abuse of the weak by the strong, and rampant capitalism), but it doesn't involve blood or human sacrifices or similar things.

I have to say that this is a somewhat odd quiz. 'Satanism' seems an unnecessarily and misleadingly provocative term for an ethos that is really just individualism. And the test seems to rely on very different kinds of questions for different religions. I gather that I test mainly as Christian from upholding some very specific doctrinal statements. But I appear to have gotten respectable components of Buddhism and Paganism merely by expressing limited support for such vague notions as life being a struggle with suffering, and nature being nice. In other words, the 'Christianity' of this test is a creed, while its 'Buddhism' is more of an attitude.

Up to a point that can be legitimate, of course. Christianity is perhaps the world's most theoretical religion, in that some fairly intricate metaphysics has generally been considered essential to it. Other religions just do not emphasize specific beliefs so much.

But any belief or attitude system that is really used as a basis for a person's life must end up, in practice, implying a lot of things about how they live. Islam and Judaism seem to differ from Christianity in a similar way, for instance, in having much simpler theology, but much greater emphasis on social rules. Every seriously lived faith is going to end up with a substantial collection of both specific precepts and general attitudes. This test doesn't seem to recognize this, and so I think it pretty much caricatures all the religions it purports to describe.

Interesting... I'm an atheist, but I do sympathize with Buddhism and Pagan religions most (in that order). Still, I'd have thought that Hinduism would come in above Satanism (why did they put that on there?!).

Buddhism's score there makes sense, because after all, it doesn't have a god (thus I'm attracted to the idea). I think my Paganism score came from the nature questions... which will make sense to those of you who've played my BoA scenario.

Look it up - that's what Satanism means. And it really is more than individualism. Even individualists usually believes in some kind of moral code that a person should follow, even if they are left free to decide. The "as you harm none" is an important part of Paganism, too, but I haven't heard it being advocated by LaVeyan Satanism, even though the "Do what you Will" is pretty much the same.

I like that the scoring placed Egoism and Christianity at the bottom, together. I guess I did poorly on Hinduism because of my steady diet of red meat.

Before there was Abraham there were pagans. Almost all pagan values got wrapped into the Abrahamic religions. It must be confusing to write a quiz to gauge all the religions at once, rather than test each on separately.

Not very surprizing, although I expected agnosticism value to be higher.

SoT, it seems to me that the questions in this test appear generic when talking about religions you know less about and specific when talking about religions you know more about. Since you are Christian, the questions about Christianity looked very specific to you. To me, they looked like versions of a generic question "Is Jesus the God". Similarly, to you "All adults should pray daily" probably looked like a generic measure of religiocity, while for me it's associated with certain branches of Jewdaism. The statements about nature might look like specific parts of some belief sets to a Pagan, but look like generic "do you like nature" to us, since we are unfamiliar with that religion.
