A minor point, you cannot 'know' art. You can perceive something as art in your own mind; but that does not make it art. Nor is it disqualified from being art if you percieve it not to be so...

Soundtracks are not included because directors think the viewers lack intelligent. Jaws is a fine movie, and the soundtrack of that movie is one of the most important parts. The soundtrack made the shark much more realistic and threatening.

I can almost guarantee if you watch Star Wars on mute with the subtitles the experience will be noticeably worse...

Soundtracks are not used in a manipulative way, but rather to enhance the moment. Without a soundtrack most films would suffer greatly.

Imagine how boring the fight between Anakin and Obi-wan would have been without Battle of the Heroes. What about the Ride of the Rohirrim? And lets not forget To Zanarkand, without which FFX would suffer greatly.

We have a sense of hearing, why not use it. Just wait until movies start utilizing more of our senses. One day you might just be able to taste how epic the Lord of the Rings is...

Well then doesn't that take away the credibility of Obama being the most liberal...

Maybe this will help you:

Inconsistent = Flip-flopper

Or did you miss when McCain stated that the Iraq war was about oil and then changed his mind days later. And other comments he made he says he has no recollection of. Maybe it's just because he's old...

I think the Democrat race has kept McCain out of the spotlight thus far. I'm sure we'll learn quite a bit in the fall...

The link doesn't seem to work any more. I'll edit it out shortly. Either way, my point had nothing to do with McCain. I thought it was odd that in 2004 John Kerry and John Edwards were the 'most liberal'...

If we didn't use parties, then imagine what would've happened this year. With all the candidates, the vote would've been massively dispersed. The president could potentially be elected with less than 20% of the vote...

It's not so much apathy as a feeling that there isn't a real choice, and if there was, you're vote wouldn't matter...

We care, it's just we also realize that the people with power know how to manipulate the masses to effectively silence our voices...

EDIT:
I suspect this will become even more visible once the democratic nominee is chosen. The supporters of the other candidate will feel cheated, and may not vote in November as a result...

The LotR is as much about the world of Middle Earth as it is the story of Frodo and the Fellowship, and the soundtrack is meant to help convey the world.

Dikiyoba.

You neglected to mention that Arda was created from music...

I prefer the books to the movies, but I agree that the movies are quite enjoyable. I'm still bothered by a few things here and there though. For instance, the elves at Helms Deep, or the ghosts at the Battle of Pelennor Fields...

I imagine if you wanted to do the most damage it would be by detonating a large quantity of them within the oceans. It wouldn't directly impact humans; however, I imagine the irradiated rain would be unpleasant...
