I suppose I hadn't considered that...or the convenience of having a refridgerator for that matter. Cooking food doesn't have all that much of an impact in my mind, it's more a matter of convenience. Certainly you wouldn't have access to as large a variety of food, but there would be more than enough to get by. Not being able to store it in a refridgerator, though poses definite problems. Then the time of year is a great deal of concern. Foods such as fruits won't last long in the summer. There are still healthy options available; however, it certainly makes things more difficult. Unless you have a hire assistant, it is extremely inconvenient to purchase food on a daily basis. Unless you are genetically predisposed, obesity is mostly a matter of willpower, not when your paycheck arrives... -------------------- Lt. The benefits they acquire are in order to encourage the increase in population, and hence strengthen the government on a global scale... [ Tuesday, December 11, 2007 03:23: Message edited by: Lt. I don't think he equates the two; so you're response may be taking it a step to far. While we're complaining about needless government spending, it's time the old folks started earning their own keep. I am irritated by the fact that I'll never see a dime of the money I pay into social security... -------------------- Lt. Allowing someone to play as carnivorous, cannibalistic muffins can only improve the quality of an RP. It adds entertainment value to keep things from getting too serious. For certain RP's it could get out of hand; however, with the intro you gave I don't see how you can restrict it... -------------------- Lt. Yes, but they tend to cost quite a large amount of money. Although various homebrew solutions are available(and legal), they aren't supported by the manufacturers. Hence coding can be difficult. It really depends on the homebrew community for the game. For instance, there is a decent sized community for developing homebrew on the Nintendo DS, using C/C++ code. EDIT: As for using playing spidweb games on the PS3, you can hook up a mouse and a keyboard to the console. So I can't imagine controls would be that much different. I think the word that best describes the introduction to the Vale RP is unique. There probably should have been a bit more collaboration on the back story. However, due to poor timing I will be unable to participate. In the mean time, perhaps we should begin discussing ways to eliminate factions who are no longer being controlled. That way we can get it out of the way in the first post... [ Thursday, December 06, 2007 03:47: Message edited by: Lt. Sullust ] -------------------- Lt. This is unlikely to happen. I think the most likely thing to be ported to any console system at this point would be BoE. Even then it would probably need to be done on a PS3 so as to utilize the ability to install a different OS. In other words, don't hold your breath... -------------------- Lt. If you stock up on potions nothing should be too much of a threat. Just cast haste and avoid fights if you can. That said, the most difficult encounters were in the Exile series. I can't remember how many times I died because the spiders just kept webbing me into oblivion. I haven't seen this happen in the Avernum series... -------------------- Lt. It really depends on what I want to eat. If I am in the mood for spicy chicken, or bacon Wendy's. Otherwise it's McDonald's. On a few occasions I also enjoy Arby's... -------------------- Lt. Sullust Quaere verum Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |
