Alan King while in a hospital poured his apple juice in his urine specimen jar. When his nurse looked at the sample and mentioned it was a little cloudy, he grabbed it and said, "Maybe it'll be better after going through again" and drank it. Aside from the shock value, it is entirely harmless to drink one's own urine, and has been done as part of some therapies (of questionable value). I hear it is not very tasty, however. -------------------- The Noble and Ancient Order of Polaris - We're Not Yet Dead. Especially when the urine is actually apple juice. Then it is only shock value, and some tasty apple juice. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Thralni - "a lot of people are ... too weird to be trusted" Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

By Aran: quote:Apparently, it's been used before as mouthwash, though I can't remember which culture did it, and whether it was widespread. Roman Empire... oh yes. It was also used to help clean their togas. Which had to be very white indeed. Julius: "Wow, nice robe. How did you get it so clean?" [strokes robe] "It's so soft." Gaius: "Thank you. I washed it in piss." Julius:  -------------------- "What direction, what direction now?" ---- My poetry Posts: 432 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2007 07:00 |

You wash the piss out when you're done. With water. If you're wondering about skin effects of urine in the clothes, what do you think would be the effect of any kind of detergent if you failed to wash the clothes with water after cleaning them?
