Okay, Pocky
That's Sgt. Pocky. I did not do two stints in Iraq to be called Pocky.

1. If you are actually a member of the military, (which I doubt), you would recognize the fact that we (with the exception of a few), are civilians and therefore do not need to address you as sergeant. Lucheiah may or may not have a rank, as of such. You don't know, and if you'd rather the rank system be applied here, you would then properly address him/her as "sir," since you do not know if they have a rank and if they do what that rank would be. You failed to do so. Now, if you'd rather this is all military, I'll need your section commander's name so I can issue an IR.

2. Neither are those of us who are military in uniform. Unless they make a habit of sitting at the computer in said uniform. This is also a message board, and there are no military protocols governing the use of rank and insignia online.

3. If you actually went to Iraq, you would probably have a lessened respect for the military rank system. On the battlefield, there is no time to politely ask your section commander for another clip. You would probably scream at your friend for his spare. And most sergeants are not so eager for respect of their rank that they ask for it online at a message board.

4. You should be aware that I am a senior member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, and have a fairly extensive knowledge over military protocols in general. That is, if you really care that much about rank and all that.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Jeran, I'd take Iffy's naive blunders to your arrogance any day of the week.

It's not arrogence. Trust me.

No offense meant to Iffy, but his "naive blunders" are rather amusing. He also does none of it in earnest and apologizes immediately thereafter. It is probably this factor that keeps the rest of us from e-beating him senseless with his own salami. So far, all that you've got going for you is a hefty amount of arrogance(or is it arrogence?), and a condescending attitude. If you're trying to earn the hostility of those present, you're heading in the right direction.

Few people can. I type my stuff into the processor after it's been written out; I find that I can curb the number of grammar and spelling mistakes this way.

Yeah. Dikiyoba does all that.

I have a similar process that I use for OR. Except I usually do most of the editing onscreen, after I've typed my stuff up. I make a couple of revisions and then post it to my secure literary storage page. And when I have a minute, I do more revisions. Etc.

We have student named Esther at our school... I think that's it for me up here in Northern Alberta. No one plays any Spidweb stuff whatsoever... so I'm pretty well alone up here.

Hah. Dominate with what, 'tis the question. I'm only an acting sergeant, since I'm not yet fully qualified.

I also may be permitted to pilot a CF-18 air-to-air fighter jet over the Cold Lake military base. Unfortunately, I might also be going to Cuba that week for a charity trip.

For the past two weeks, I have been going through a rigorous interview process, coupled with various inspections and reviews of my command abilities. Seven slots were to be filled; three people were fully eligible. The remaining four spots were up for grabs between about 25 other people including myself. The four who were to be selected would be the best and brightest of their training level, and not only be good at what they do but excel at what they do.

The slots to be filled came entailed with a job that involved command of up to one hundred cadets, inspection of uniforms, instruction on various subjects including drill, range, leadership, citizenship, and survival. These four people would be recognized for their achievements on a municipal, provincial, and possibly even federal scale. These four would have to be examples for all other cadets below their rank. Competition would be intense as to who would be selected among the 25 candidates.

Therefore, I was extremely surprised.
