I took a look at the Wiki article on Holmium. Apparently, it is a substance that is highly magnetic and used in atomic control rods. I've always been (or like to think I have been), a person that can settle a dispute fairly and quickly, eg. control the release of energy. When I'm on vacation and going around an abandoned mine or some such thing, I always collect a little pile of knicknacks which I really don't do anything with. I remember that I brought home about 85 lbs of flourite from a mine in BC. This is a property of something magnetic, as a magnetic object attracts certain other objects with little discerning between them. Oh, and the puppy eyes don't do much for me. My heart is pretty well a lump of granite. -------------------- The Survival Elite Posts: 794 | Registered: Thursday, July 27 2006 07:00 |

I'm looking for beta readers to review my latest poject. I will say that it is a writing project, but as for the rest... Anyway, any of you that are reasonably well read and can provide constructive criticism are more than welcome to read it. Excepting Diki, because she already has. Due to the fact that I don't want this spread around, the file is password protected. I'll PM the password to any interested parties. All right. I think Holmium fits me because I enjoy mind puzzles and brainteasers, and have the ability to think logically. I also love reading the Sherlock Holmes novels of old. -------------------- The Survival Elite Posts: 794 | Registered: Thursday, July 27 2006 07:00 |

Thanks! And I've already started designing a "cat-guard" for the fishtank. He ate the last two we had. Worf won a photo contest. For the winning pics, click here. He won 1st place in under 18 pets/wildlife, and a runner-up status in under 18 humorous. I won a $250 fishtank, so I guess I'm getting fish. Suggestions are most welcome. -------------------- We as a race have grown complacent with our computers and thinking machines. I traditionally don't name my creations, unless they've been with me for a province or two. My character is generally skilled enough to handle himself without creation assistance. -------------------- We as a race have grown complacent with our computers and thinking machines. Yes, please. The contents could include characters you've used so far. Obviously it would be a lot of trouble to update, with certain people dying left, right, and center, so maybe just a list of those included. I've noticed that element #67, Holmium, is unused. May I claim it? -------------------- The Survival Elite Posts: 794 | Registered: Thursday, July 27 2006 07:00 |

I read that somewhere in the little "Shareware Workshop" part of the site. Gazers & Rotghroths? Gull Island for the latter, Isle of Spears for the former. I think. Cryodrayks? Yes. You do, of course, need to find at least 3 drayk canisters because you can't buy that skill anywhere. -------------------- We as a race have grown complacent with our computers and thinking machines.
