I'd just use flag 34,5. If it's in the FAQ, it must work, right? Hope this helps.

Money doesn't buy time, but time can get you money, as has been said.

As well as this, time with loved ones is worth far more than any amount of money. Time gets my vote.

Anyway... BoG.

It'll happen, even if it's to help feed baby Vogel. And her parents too, I'd imagine. And even if GF4 isn't gonna be like 1,2 and 3, BoG might. For all we know, "breaking out of the mould" might mean making it top-down. Now that would be classy...

This is all theoritical but a little digging gave me this lot. Try this at your peril!

Ok, to avoid having to fight Hoge, just hit [shift] + [d], and type: "sdf 34 5 1" (without quotation marks)

This will allow you to speak to Sobel. I don't know whether you will be able to carry on with the rest of the game normally though.

You could also leave town, hit [shift] + [d], and type in "sdf 35 5 0"

and then [shift] + [d] and: "sdf 101 0 0"

Those two are flags used to check whether or not Hoge should be present. I presume one is for killing him in the Roamer Marsh, and the other in the Shaping School on Greenwood Isle.

Please tell me if these work.

EDIT: I just checked and the first SDF is present in the FAQ. The second isn't.

I think that depends on level. I'm sure I didn't get anything to write home about. I'll check tonight though.

Anyway, even if it does, then as soon as you realise, you won't do it anymore, as to avoid ruining the game, right?

That sounds like a challenge. And not only that, but one I cannot possibly win. So, give me a week, and I'll have squirmed my way out of it...

Oh, and looking at the statistics, I am ranked 63, two places below Khoth. I think that's up slightly from last time.

Well, firstly, the nice serviles will help you kill Spharon, and then run off. They probably won't want to talk to you, since you're leading them to kill their old master. But, I just replayed this bit, and no errors.

Secondly, the "quest" to speak to Corrie isn't a quest. Phasia just tells you to mention his name. I got no experience for this. She says something like "Tell him I'm okay", but that's as far as it goes. It shouldn't appear on your quest list.

If you are going to do these things, have a reason. Randomly throwing things around isn't a good idea, and when you're playing with things like rape, people will get upset.

If you have the talent to be able to include something like this, make it tasteful, and make sure it adds to the story.

That said, I'd prefer to meet a bad guy who can convince you he isn't bad. I'm making one at the minute. He isn't evil, but the choices he makes, and the actions that come out of these make him a bad guy to many people.

Oh jeez. I would use "lol", but I consider it a very bad thing. That post made me smile like you wouldn't believe. Sure, a lot of what you said is true, and I will be careful! It's just that I considered TM to be a very level-headed guy. And I can see I was wrong...

I'll have to play through his BoE stuff again.

Err, Hi.

I wouldn't be posting here if I wasn't trying to increase my post count (read: spam), but it's always nice to see new faces.

I trust that Ice Drake forewarned you about the issues of sanity, and leaving it near an appropriate exit?

This would make a great TV show - "When Good BoE Scenario Makers Go Bad." Okay, the name needs a little work.

After reading TM's outburst, I'm a little uneasy about playing his next BoA scenario. We all played Mad Ambition, and whilst good, did seem a little "unhinged". Maybe TM really has lost his sanity?

I just wanted to clear something up - you need to be running the Trainer in the background for it to work. Just opening it, turning things on and then closing it didn't work for me.

When not sleeping in the early hours, I listen to music, compose songs, go for long walks and occasionally watch a movie. I also play computer games and talk on the phone to my insomniac friend.

Well I downloaded it. And bad things have failed to happen. My anti-virus, the clever little thing that it is, hasn't pointed an accusing finger. My guess is that it's clean. So, in future people, show some respect and/or trust for our fellow spiderwebbers!

I haven't actually tried it yet though. Will do tonight.

I'd blow it all trying to win the love and affection of my sweetheart.

No, seriously, I'd donate a heck of a lot of it. I wouldn't deserve it since I would have to win the lottery a couple of times to get that much, and there are far more needy people than me.

Then I'd buy Cuba!

I'd say Exile 2 / Avernum 2. I love the whole world at war thing. I also love the Ultima games. And there was a freeware RPG I played a while back - The Night's Chill. The graphics sucked, but the rest of it (plot, npc development etc.) was quite good.

I think you're talking about Melatonin... I might be wrong though.

We've just finished the sleep module of our A level Psychology course, and the longest someone has ever gone without sleep was around 11 days. After that, "mild hallucinations and slight paranoid tendancies" were seen to exist. After a deep REM session, lasting 6 hours, the guy was fine.

That's pretty impressive- after 11 days, he could still do mental and physical tasks without much difference from somebody who slept. The only real noticeable problem was that he sometimes lost his train of thought when speaking. So, for instance, he might stop mid-sentance.

I've read a lot of books on the matter - a couple of years ago when it first started I was quite worried, and so I tried to learn all I could about it. It seems that as long as I have enough SWS (slow wave sleep) and REM, I'll be okay. And I seem to have enough for my requirements. Psychologists will know of experiments that try to prove we need REM and/or sleep (There's a flowerpot one, with a cat that I fail to remember the name of...), but in the end, there was a major confounding variable - stress. There is no hard eveidence of anyone ever dying due to a lack of sleep.

And, somebody mentioned lucid dreams are bad. Well, Native Americans trained themselves to have them, believeing that the dream world was inhabited by spirits. I won't pretend I know more than that, but if it can be taught, then surely it is not a psychological abnormality...

And, Thuryl, Ash Lael, I'm pretty sure I don't have any identifiable brain anomalies!
