The obvious way to do second-person perspective is having the camera pointed directly at the player character's face at all times. First person is from the character's perspective. Third person is from outside the character looking in on the character and its surroundings. First person perspective uses things like "I do this" and "we did that". It is from the character's perspective. Third person perspective does not use "I" or "we" in narrative text. It uses "he", "she", "it," etc. They are describing event as viewed by an outsider. The narrator may or may not be omniscient; it is irrelevant to its perspective. Second person is "you did this" or "you do that". (Note that "your character did this" is not second, but third person.) Second person might be if the player controlled one character, but the view was that of whomever or whatever the character was interacting with. Could be a cool game, if it weren't impossible to control, and disorienting with jumping around all the time. I know of a novel written in the second person. The protagonist is 'you'. It begins with you just having bought the book, and starting to read it, etc. Then it gets a bit weird. But you've got to love it for the title if nothing else: If On a Winter's Night a Traveller, by Italo Calvino (original in Italian, of course). -------------------- It is not enough to discover how things seem to seem.
