Interesting. The textures are a tad bland, but due to scale, that's forgivable. Perhaps some post-effects for the rendering would be nice? But that's very well done. Reminds me of one of our class projects, expect we only did half the campus. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Nostalgia factor. Reminds me of a simpler time... one where man and beast could struggle eternal while leaving enough processor memory for other tasks. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

The point is, everything you do is a strategy. Equipping a weapon is a strategy. Not equipping a weapon is a strategy. Looking at the screen is a strategy. Get it yet? -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I've just reinstalled NWN to hit some modules that looked interesting. I find the game barely tolerable, but perhaps you're more patient. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Spiderweb is featured rather regularly in PCGamer... the RPG columnists recognize the old-school fun of the games. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Strategy by that definition means EVERY game has strategy... aim for the head, take out trade routes, turn the box to fit, hold down fire as to destroy all the aliens in the fastest possible time... Stop saying "I want strategy" and say what specifically you want to see. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

What's all this talk about strategy in Avernum? I have never once had to think to defeat an enemy... Or perhaps I'm confusing it for another word that means "systematic plan of action." -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Funny you mention it. I've been working with some friends on an indie-flick about some D&Ders. I know, I know... done to death. But we're just trying to have fun with it. So, yeah, we've been revisiting D&D and Vampires. Brings back memories... Oh, and our DM is an old-school hardcore player, so he loves writing our own campaigns. I think he's actually written some famous ones, but I can't get him to fess up. [ Monday, May 14, 2007 19:42: Message edited by: demonslay3r ] -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! We'll have the technology to terraform planets a lot sooner than you seem to think... Granted, I'd be dead or too old by then anyway, but it's not unreasonable to start thinking about ways to expand. Especially with the coming issues we'll face: we will need another source of fuel. We will need more space. Luckily, we have solutions to those problems. "Green" and war. :D -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I mainly play FPSs and action-RPGs, though I've been know to try an RTS or traditional cRPG. Also, the action-adventure genre had me hooked, historically, though I haven't played a good one recently. I'm posting? -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! I came here because of the Exile series, but I don't play any Spidweb games anymore. I've been playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance recently, and I'm having a barrel-smashing, baddy-blasting good time. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Just curious... if the critics "tend to not know what they're talking about," what makes you any more qualified? Anyway, Clerks 2 was my favorite. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |
