Connery and Octopussy.

Both are self-explanatory, I believe.

There was a MUD recently done on cell phones... I'm not sure what happened to it.

We always got classwide tournaments of Quake3 going in high school. I can safely brag that I won every match except one; our teacher scratched away with 2 more kills.

I'm not voting.

But I promise not to complain. If there's an issue down the road, I'll just revolutionize.

Connery was indeed the Bond.

I WILL go see the new one. A) it's a remake of Casino Royale! What's not to love? B) it was decided to tone down the ridiculousness of the last few Bonds (sorry, Pierce) and make an actually good movie, and C) I've always loved Bond.

The two things that really irk me with MMORPGs is that they are inherently static and that no one plays in character. Sometimes, I wonder what it would be like to have a sort of Turing test for MMORPGs: see if you can guess who are the NPCs and who are the PCs. Sometimes, I wonder what it would be like to have a massive program creating a dynamic world. No more 'somebody at the company scripts an event and each PC in the world does the quest several times'.
That's... wrong. First of all, plenty of people play in character. Join an RP server in WoW, get with some decent human beings, and you've got an experience you won't find elsewhere.

Also WoW is very different than Runescape. I won't go into game philosophy, but basing your opinion on what you hear is kinda ignorant I would think. What's that saying...?

And that makes me, um... Colombia. I don't like what I'm known for, but MEH! there's no need to spend effort to fix it.

I'm Travis Barker this year. I might have pictures but Halloween in American colleges tends to be hazy at best.

This topic has devolved into repeating advice already given by others.

If xXx makes a Halloween scenario in the next 12 hours, I'll take back all the mean things I ever said/thought.

This thread makes me laugh.

But you are young, and I remember when I sat around all day thinking up cool ideas for video games. Then Quake came out and I remembered that I could just play others' creations.

But seriously, making a game involves more than imagining it. Much more.

I think not, so why is $700 too much for a console that is, by definition, a specialized high-end gaming computer? :P
Because a computer has far more utility than a "specialized high-end gaming computer".

True, but a high-end gaming computer will cost you much more than $700.

...

Exactly. But you can do far more with a high-end gaming computer than you can with a console.

Look at me. This is a high-end gaming computer. Can't type this shiiii on a PS3.

The Wii has interested me, I admit, but I can't see myself buying... at least for quite some time.

For TV, I only have seasons 1, 2, and 3 of Seinfeld and season 1 of the Venture Bros.

Way too many movies to list, but I'm proud of my Indiana Jones boxed set and Blade Runner and Omega Man, just to name a few.

Or you could go buy Baulder's Gate 2...

But if you want Spidweb, A2/E2 and Nethergate are the ways to go.

What boggles me is how you heard nothing of the ho-humness of Fable back before it came to PC. And you got suckered into buying it.

If you want to impress us with your Spidweb loyalty, you'll have to do better than Fable.

You've all nailed it on the head. As you may know, I'm a veteren WoW player, and I've seen it a million times. Any changes to the game make people mad, but not changing the game makes them mad. It's almost a lose-lose situation.

However, as any player with a brain knows, it IS for the better. The non-fanboi's aren't the ones that complain. It's the ones that troll the forums and caps-lock harsh words everytime a new idea is presented.
