I want to know which characters from Averum or Genefoge were stolen. Alternately, I'd love to know how many Y's as vowels, strange dipthongs, and unnecessary and unpronounceable strings of consonants will go into the wholly original names.

—Alorael, whose name includes an ash and would have a thorn instead of the first L if the internet were more permitting. Pronunciation should always be flexible.

It's a weird quirk of UBB. The only name that UBB will not let others take is your login name. This i why I had to put a period on the end of my name when I switched to this account. The same thing happened to Lazarus when he changed his PDN for some meme or other. During that time, a new user registered as Lazarus. We can chalk this one up as another reason why UBB blows. :P
