I happen to like old kung fu films the worse the better. Everything from the Master of the Flying Guillotine to Elton Chong. The worse, the better. I have seen a lot of Elton Chong's films Fist of the Golden Monkey, Deadly Shaolin Kung Fu, Gravedigger King Fu, and Shaolin Drunk Monkey. These films are so awful that they are almost good.

Any old school recommendations.

The only real part of the movie Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is the actors. The planes, the mechanical monsters, robots, and everything else is animation and background drawings. I have not seen Howl's Moving Castle. I have seen most of Studio Ghibli's films including one of my favorites My Neighbor Totoro-- a children's film. Also Wings of Honnemaise I thought was pretty good. It doesn't have to be super action films like Fist of the North Star-- bleah. I do like Wallace and Gromit, I might want to see Curse of the Were Rabbit. Between the Castle Cagliostro and Castle In The Sky-- La Puta, I liked the Castle Cagliostro better, it was a bit more fun.

I rather like animation films. Feature length animation films that is. This weekend I watched Ghost In the Shell 2: Innocence, Porco Rosso, and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Does anyone have any favorite animation films, I have seen lots of them ranging from Allegro Non Tropo, Fantasia, Wizards, Finding Nemo to many others. I haven't seen Cars yet, I'll wait for DVD. Any favorites out there?

There are plenty of truly awful novels based on scripting. You only have to read the Forgotten Reals series and the Warhammer 40K series to do this. It could be done. But, I think it would detract from the overall story unless you got a very solid writer...

I also like Starships Unlimited by Apezone and
Strange Adventures In Infinite Space. I don't much care for the large corporate games. They have too much suction thinks like Everquest-- evercrack and Age of Wonders draw me in a little too deeply and I get zombified.

Right now, I like Spiderweb, but I have been playing a great little strategy fantasy game called Styrateg from a company called http://www.rakeingrass.com The game is excellent, very nice illustration, combined with medieval czech music which actual is surprisingly good, and interesting strategy.

It was easy to kill Hrickis. The key is to use acid spray on the pilons so they get wiped out quickly. That way he cannot regenerate. Engage one character hasted blessed, defended. Keep healing him after every attack. Once pilons are down swarm him. Knock out one pilon at a time. If you take out the top pilon the other ones can be attacked from a distance without poisoning your characters. I even managed to figure out how to do the test of defense which was not easy.

I always like it when they have leaf bladed spears or naginata but that is my preference-- poke and slash. The assegai or short leaf bladed spear and celtic leaf bladed spears were more effective than the pure stabbing spear.

Do you explode with a loud bang or a whump? When you explode do you give off poison gas, shrapnel, or acid. What is color is the explosion red, yellow, or blue? Is it a little explosion or a very big one? We need answers now.

2002 Impala. Comparable to Toyota or Honda in quality. Drives better, more spacious. Not stolen as much. Better crash rating. Nice discount right now. Not quite as reliable as Toyota or Honda, but warranty is solid. A thought, I crashed into a toyota RAV4, no one was injured, they had to write off the RAV4 as unfixable, my Impala went to the shop and was fixed in four days without problems.

Almost bought Honda CRV, but the dealer was a sleaze, did the standard I'll hold your deposit $500 for speaking to me. We don't have any in stock it is going fast. You'll have to wait a month... It is a very nice car if you want a four wheel drive vehicle.

Corruption is another big factor in this mess. From what I understand, Bush appointed a failed horse farmer to run FEMA. A man with no emergency management experience at all except for his political connections.

No, this is what happens when you don't pay for services. Industry does not pay to build roads, schools, and basic services like fire, police, and emergency services. These are government jobs. So is the national guard. Don't blame government for failing when you refuse to pay for it. If you shut down the fire department because you've decided it costs too much and there is a fire your house burns down.

This is a very similar situation. The Bush government does not believe in paying for infrastructure-- roads, schools, and basic services. It costs us too much to have services. Buy an SUV if the roads are going is the attitude which we are getting.

Most of the necessary infrastructure for the flood and hurricane was cut because it cost too much. When the flood came, the services to deal with it probably were severely underfunded. Because the people there were poor-- couldn't give pork to the politicians, they were left to die until people spoke up. The initial reaction was industry will pay to help clean up the flood.

Industry is not in the business of helping people. They are there essentially to sell a product. In a disaster, they will most likely help their own employees, then try to generate some goodwill in the community by helping out in the community, but not much more.

Pay attention and take this seriously. FEMA is ultimately responsible for messing this up. They knew this could happen a long time ago and were unprepared.

This is another link on the subject of hurricanes. There is some supposition that hurricanse are picking up in intensity because of warmer water-- the global warming thing. Not more hurricanes but more damaging hurricanes. They talked about this with Hurrican Ivan earlier in the Caribbean. So, it seems that future hurricanes are going to be much more devastating.

There are pieces missing from the news about Mississippi and Louisiana. I'm assuming that all the shipping that was near the path of the hurricane was destroyed. This includes most of the boats and ports in or around Mississippi and Lousiana. I am assuming it killed a lot of people who lived near the sea. I found this to be a very interesting piece of news not being reported in the United States very much. This will have a devastating impact on the United States. New Orleans is a major grain transshipment point and a lot of oil is refined there.

Ideally, Mr. C should return the painting. Mr. A's family should give him a percentage of the value of the painting 15-25%. This way both Mr. A and Mr. C's family win.

However, in practical terms Mr. B stole the painting to make money. He never was compensated for his act of thievery. Returning the painting would go against Mr. B's profession i.e. art thievery and memory. Mr. C if he follows in his fathers footsteps-- i.e. professional criminal would sell it.
