1. I wish that nobody else would be able to use magic wishes, or any other form of magic to perform any action that would have a direct or indirect effect on me.

2. I wish that Eldibs' watch would become indestructible and unalterable by anybody other than me.

3. I wish to alter Eldibs' watch to make it grant wishes to me, instead of the wearer.
But how would you wish that if the universe was destroyed from Aran's contradictory wish? The watch is useless anyways if it is blasted into oblivion from the universe's destruction.

*carefully examines Zeviz's choice of words*

*permanently attaches watch on Zeviz's wrist*
Ha ha! Now you don't get any wishes, because it doesn't grant wishes to the wearer.

Since Zeviz said that the wishes would be granted to him rather than the wearer he would be granted the wishes because he is himself, despite that fact that he is also the wearer. That would just grant the wishes to himself instead of himself; he would still get the wishes.

Edit: Also, wish number two implies he is able to alter the watch if need be.

To succeed in everything I set my mind towards accomplishing, that this world would work out its troubles and become peaceful, and to go to a world more like the sorts in fantasy books and D&D.

3. More wishes as needed.

This topic is steadily declining in intelligence. Given that and the fact that the most ruthless people get the most power, and the fact that the most powerful people have the ability to wipe out humanity so many times over it would take scientific notaton...

I think I'd be better off wishing I lived on a non-inhabited planet somewhere in another galaxy, second a computer and thirdly an internet connection able to bridge the distance. In a similar way to many people on AIM, Earth is increasingly turning into something you wouldn't want to have anything to do with it except online.

Arancaytar, I'll try and save the topic with something intelligent, although coming from the sugar-hyped individual I have just become, it'll be hard...

Okay, so I already blew a wish on being invisible. My second one is wisdom. Amazing wisdom. I'd like the wisdom to be able to carry out my third wish, which is:

To have the ability to be able grant wishes to other people. That way, I'd be able to stop people (okay, idiots), from wishing for things like "a million dollars" or "a sandwich" or "a cuddly toy".

My reasoning is thus: whilst money and sandwiches are nice (especially if either have banana fillings), people in other places need those wishes more than you. And whilst it is socialist, and thus has some fairness issues, by using my wisdom, I'd be able to make the world a lot fairer. And whilst that might mean Alorael has to fix his own sandwich, or Arancaytar can't cast magic spells, people in places with little food and lots of poverty would benefit.

Everybody knows, but nobody understands.

Thus endeth this post.

Well done chicky! Its beer that you want I guess...

Anyhow, a polar bear can be quite nice from time to time. Espacially when you're cold. I heard its fur is quite nice and soft.

I'd like to reiterate my earlier comment.

Changing my wishes: I'd like it if the entire human race became telepathic, were incapable of feeling hatred, and thirdly could never be granted a wish again (that's a magical "Wish", not just any kind). That would solve a lot of problems.

Ew. How about just for those who want it?

Assuming the silly omnipotence/more wishes loopholes are closed, I'd wish to know the mind of God. The other two would depend on the result. :P

I can understand not wanting to undergo the process of becoming educated, but what possible reason could you have for not wishing to instantaneously gain education?

—Alorael, who can see how in many cases it might not be terribly helpful. On the other hand, he also can't see how it would ever be harmful unless you ascribe to a very strong version of the ignorance is bliss theory.

University level education for all, whether they want it or not, would likely be a bad thing, but everyone should be literate and numerate, and know a bit about how the world works beyond their actual experience (basic science, history, political/economic structure of current country). Some critical thinking skills would be a good idea too. Scammers, quacks and politicians have it far too easy. (Although I don't know how much that can be taught)

I believe that's the purpose of high school, which everyone is supposed to go to here. Sure, people drop out, but usually for a worthy reason such as having more time to play video games. :P

I'm not entirely sure that high school is available on a world-wide basis. Thus your point is lacking merit.

Education is the process of gaining knowledge. So you wouldn't instantaneously gain education, you'd instantaneously gain knowledge. Or something. I'm sure someone can play the semantics game better than me.
