Surely that's a spelling not seen before, Diki? Add it to the list!

In other news, "Faux pas" needs to be seen in more posts, and kittens need to appear in the next chapter.

Ya know, you could just read it. And for the most part, it's the same people as before.

Dikiyoba actually has a running list, doesn't she?

The Appearances page is out of date, though. I'll have to update it soon. But for now, Chapter 26: The Saga of Synergy and Randomizer is all I have.

If Dikiyoba can artfully straddle the line between serious plot and the absurdity required for the fluffy kittens to appear without committing a faux pas, Dikiyoba will do so. Or maybe that was just an excuse so that the phrases "artfully straddle" and "faux pas" appear in posts more often. Who knows?

To put those phrases together and expect a meaningful outcome is utterly fallacious.

Huzzah for artfully straddling the gap between references to faux pas!

As for the plot... wow... didn't see that one coming.

That's… not good, if I understand the laws of Dikiphysics.

You are correct. But the good news is I updated the Reviews page. It's sort of good news, anyway.

So the plot twist came off okay? Dikiyoba was a little worried about it.

Good plot twist, Diki. It seems you looked at what everyone was anticipating and then did the oppisite. Nice.

Good thing I managed to hide myself in the previous chapter. When other members act suspicious in front of authority it doesn't matter so much. But the second I step out of line it's a whole different story.

Very nice plot twist. I had to re-read chapter 25 again to see where that came from. (I knew something was up when Zeviz showed that dagger in the end of chapter 25, but didn't make the connection with Smoo and potential for more wererats.)

Great plot twist back in General Forum.

I finally get to see some action and kill rats. Thanks.

That's the kind of thing that makes a good story great.

So I've started working on Chapter 27, and I realized I'm missing a piece, so I'm adding a small section to Chapter 25. Sorry. (The new text is in bold.)

quote:
...The Almighty Do-er of Stuff opened the trapdoor to the fluffy turtle pit. "Come on, Inspector Walnut. We've found a source of sanity for you, but you will have to fight for it."

The fluffy turtles climbed out of the pit and shuffled around agitatedly. Saunders jumped into the pit and lifted out a few who were so weak they couldn't climb out on their own.

In the Moderator Board, Garrison and Nemesis dropped the equipment in a pile.

"Nemesis, guard the door. Garrison, start putting everything together." Emperor Tullegolar walked towards the Administrator Panel.

"But I don't know how!" Garrison said.

"You'll figure it out!" Emperor Tullegolar examined the Administrator Panel. It was dark. He pushed a button and the displays came to life. The largest one read, PASSWORD REQUIRED. "Password? I have no idea, and I don't want to set off any alarms. Oh well." Emperor Tullegolar joined Garrison. "No, no, no. You're doing it all wrong. Here, attach this piece to that piece, and then run this wire from there to there. See how easy it is?"

The Almighty Do-er of Stuff led the fluffy turtles to the Announcements Forum. "Make way, let the fluffy turtles through!"...
Edit: Typo. And of course it's in the quoted section, which means Dikiyoba also has to fix it in the story itself.

Bah.

They have to appear in such a way that we don't know they're appearing!! :P

As for the story, it pains me to say how good it is. Keep up the good work.

As for the new section in 25, I actually didn't think it was an error, but rather that Tullegolar had purposely set Garrison and Nemesis up. After all, Tullegolar had been somewhat hesitant to take Garrison aboard. What better way to get rid of him?

Now that Tullegolar has the password for the control panel, I wonder what havoc he'll wreak?

Don't worry, you were probably just collateral.

Well, at least I dodged that bullet.

Nemesis: I have no reason to set you up on purpose. However, when it comes down to you or me, you're on your own. That is what it means to be a Tullegolite, after all.

Nioca: What makes you say I have the password now?

Well, when Drakefyre activated the control panel, I'm assuming that you were still in the room. Since you were near the panel when Drakefyre entered, it would make the most sense if your hiding place was near it. You would likely be able to see what Drakefyre typed in, and thus, have the password.

If you were really smart, you would plant the key on Garrison. That way, there's no indication of you being involved, aside from Garrison's and Nemesis's testimony, and all the evidence would point to Garrison.
