This is an excerpt from TrueSite for Blades, a website created and run by our very own Jewels/Gizmo (you should check it out, by the way; very helpful):

quote:
To enter the school, you need to find a black opening stone. There are three that can be found. North of the school (to the northeast), you can find a group of kobolds wandering around. If you speak with them, you can pay to get a stone. There is a beggar named Kharl in the center of Sweetgrove. If you speak with him, you can pay for an opening stone.

Finally, Axel suggests you should speak with someone named Avizo. He is in Fort Talrus, in the room next to where you started. After Axel tells you about Avizo, Avizo will tell you where his opening stone is. Avizo’s store is in the center of town. Break in and search the potted plant in the back room.
(There you go, Jewels. Save you the trouble.)

One of the best ones I can give is to not try to jump in head first and make the world-changing scenario, because you'll look at it and it'll be way too daunting. Before even releasing my first (and only) complete scenario, I did a ton of experimenting and studying of other scenarios. And then when I did finish, it was pretty simple and very short, and still needed improvement.

So yeah… start small.

EDIT: I suppose I can extend the same welcome to you too, Ghost.

Mmm… makes me appreciate the Logitech cordless, optical mouse I got in November. Runs on one AA battery that lasts about 6 months, and connection is via USB. It has yet to fail me. :D

FYT.

Seriously, though. The ability to create your own adventures gives BoA a value of relatively enormous proportions. Especially once you understand how to manipulate the system and develop workarounds for problems.

Oh. Welcome to Spiderweb, by the way. Leave your sanity at the door.

Seconded, all. Not having a number pad is a huge inconvenience when using the 3D BoA Editor (for the primary example of my necessity for an actual keyboard). Now, me being too cheap to actually go out and buy a keyboard, I actually did go into the garage and find one from a 1st generation iMac that wasn't being used. Knew it'd come in handy eventually!

1) 10.4, because I haven't scrounged up the money (or motivation) to make the crossover to 10.5 yet. I also use an original iMac with OS9. It sucks, but it does run the old software.

2) My own MacBook is Intel based.

Well yes, but Nalyd is a zombie, meaning that he probably sees himself as being genetically dominant to humans. You know how cruel they can be, tearing people to pieces while they writhe in pain. Man or woman, old or young, any ethnity or religion… well, at least they don't discriminate. :)

Easy there, sailor. No reason to get offended. Salmon was only being sarcastic, and that's pretty normal here. I'm sure he meant nothing by it.

Now on topic:
Woot! I look forward to not seeing error messages. And avatars would be cool here, although I might have to find/make an original one, because I'm tired of using the same ones for everything.

I agree with Diki. Soundtracks are absolutely imperative for a good movie. Especially considering the adventurous mood of the whole movie. Having no soundtrack would kill a lot of the moods.

Unless you know the man personally, I seriously doubt he was trying to fix Christian convictions within you. I think he was simply expressing the same story in a completely different light. You know… a creative retelling of an already existing story.

People do it with Shakespeare's works all the time. And Faust. And probably a bunch of other stuff.

For Spiderweb wallpapers: you could try messing with the BoA editor, maybe creating your own landscapes, etc. It'd be a bit of work just for wallpaper, but it's a possibility. Or you could take a screenshot, which would be notably easier.

If you're looking for any RPG wallpaper… well, I know that there are some for Final Fantasy games (or any games from Square-Enix, for the matter). For others, I'd try a Google images search, looking only for the largest sizes.

Well, I'd bug you about Discord too, but I'm really not in a position to do that. I told everyone at SV about TRoR several months ago, and I haven't even made a .bas for it yet. Not mention that work on TM has temporarily ceased due to a lack of give-a-damn on my part.

My apologies to those whom I've disappointed with this post. I will… *chuckle*… try harder… *stifle*… next time…

…bahaha…
