Immature or amateur?

Armature.

Embouchure.

Captchas actually aren't very good. They don't always filter out the bots, and sometimes they tell you you're wrong when you're not (like Myspace).

I've noticed that most YouTube viewers are excessively shallow, and immune to sense. That said, any words of wisdom you provided were likely replied with a steady stream of profanity and "your mom" jokes.

I recently dropped plans for getting a bachelor's in game and simulation programming, mainly because DeVry is too expensive, not to mention full of crap.

Now I'm gonna try to go the route I should have taken originally, and just get an associate's at city college, then go for a bachelor's in computer science at state

At present, however, I'm on a break from school, possibly until fall. I've been devoting a lot of time to BoA and work.

Pretty soon, PS3 is just gonna be considered a different OS (if it isn't considered one already, that is).

Regarding the topic: apparently some people don't understand the idea of shareware.

I think it's very unlikely JV will port any of his games to any other kind of console, for aforementioned reasons, and then some. Remember that to please many people these days, a game has to have graphics superior to those of any Spiderweb game.

Furthermore, what's the point of him porting to another system? The games already run on both Mac and Windows, and who doesn't have one or the other? It'd be cheaper for people to just get them for their own computer OS.

Ah, but just imagine how many days you will be disappointed that you are alive. At least the first mantra leaves you only disappointed once. :P

Dikiyoba.

Well not saying it like, "I hope I die today," but rather, "I might die today, and I'm cool with that."

It's so much healthier to come to terms with the possibilities of reality and come up with a more pessimistic mantra. How about, "Today would be a good day to die." That way, if it happens, you're not as disappointed. :P

I may be in and out. I work this Saturday evening (wouldn't it figure… I hate closing on Saturdays).

So let's see… 7:00 PM EST would be 4:00 PM for me, I think. I ought to be able to make it in for a while. Provided there are no undesired complications from my end, of course.

It also has a lot to do with how it's said. If you say it in a way that's obviously sarcastic or otherwise blatantly infuriating, it takes on a whole different meaning.

I can't imagine you'll make too many new friends with that kind of an attitude. Don't read too much into it and just take it as a friendly greeting. It is really annoying when people are nitpicky about that sort of thing. Like when you ask someone if they are alright and they say 'No, I'm half left'...
Or when someone asks me, "What's up?", and I always reply, "The ceiling." My brother once told me what a jerk I was for doing that. I told him I was being my ordinary, sarcastic self, and he should lighten up.

Though if I asked someone how they were doing and they gave me a sum-up of all the crap in their life, I'd be a bit taken aback. If you start doing that sort of thing to complete strangers, it just creates an awkward feeling.

Me too, but that's part of customer service.

I think saying "good morning" is a wish to someone else, rather than a statement that it is, in fact, a good morning. Either way, it's kind of lost its original meaning, and is now a generic greeting, kind of like "How ya doin?" When someone you don't know says that, they usually don't really care. They're just expressing courtesy.

So what you're saying is only a few people are still laughing, because most people have already heard it enough. Why is it still being perpetuated?

Take a look at my member number. Do I look like I have all the answers? Ask one of the vets.

Best I can figure, there's no harm done from it being perpetuated, so why stop it? *shrug*

A sad day for all RPGamers, to be sure. And most of them have probably never heard of him. (Ahem… WoW  )

Though I can assure you, paper RPGs aren't likely to die because of this. At least, no more than they already have.

Every character I've ever made with any Avernum game is custom.

Here's the party for serious plays:

Leader: Human, melee, priest spells, divinely touched
Second: Nephil, melee, bows, tool use, fast on feet and/or nimble fingers
Third: Slith, pole, thrown weapons, elite warrior
Fourth: Human, priest and mage spells, natural mage

Truly, getting shafted so often in college really puts high school into a different light. That is, it's easy, yet every high schooler still complains.

That's not an attack at anyone, by the way. I did it too. And in middle school. And elementary.

So… complaining is a coping mechanism?
