Underage drug abuse is not an american phenomenon. There is a lot of that in european schools as well. There may be places here and there that are relatively untouched by what's going on. Maybe your school is such an one.

I won't brush your opinions aside, still might think you a bit naive, if you truly believe that there is no drug abuse, drinking, spray painting or sexual molesting at your school. There is most probably. Though if people know how strongly you disapprove or have reason to fear you might give them away, you won't hear about it.

The Mystery Woman is still the best, though No.9 has an expressive face and No.10 could be good, if the face was less insignificant. I understand your problem better now. It is difficult to find something that is vibrating and alive. No.9 comes closest in my opinion.

Maybe you can work on the first to make it less provocative. It would be a pity to remove it, as it is very well done.

The first is erotic art. Very beautiful. The second is dull. I'd remove it. The difference in quality is too obvious.

TCOA BoE Tournament Topic/Beta Testing in General

Sorry, my fault. I said it might be a good idea to announce the new forum in General, if Drakey agrees. Order Mage, did you ask him? Don't be so hasty.

The main idea behind this and the reason why Drakefyre moderates it, is to give beginners guidance and support in designing. Also, maybe, to attract those who'd like to design but find it too difficult to figure things out themselves. As it will all end up in a contest, beta testing will also be trained. The best scenario chosen is meant to participate in the next official BoE contest.

You have a point there. Though thinking about enchantment and witchcraft, let's keep the power on our side, please.

Why do you think the image offensive, Omlette? It can be seen as a woman enjoying her power. Does she have to be unattractive to be permitted to do that?

That thread is closed. If you want to continue with it start a new RP, or write an essay and post it on the board as an aside to one of the existing RPs.
The Spidersprise is far, far away from that planet by now.

There is no need for shame, and shaming you was never my intention. I am aware that you got 'carried away' and confronted you as I did to stop further escalation.

There's nothing wrong in feeling one with your creation. That is what all artists strive to achieve. Letting go, being in the flow and yet in control of what is happening is a difficult and sublime balancing of opposites and needs some practice. So don't stop writing. Just take your consciousness along with you.

"Wait a minute, Sullust." ef's face went blank as she concentrated on what she realized. A slight smile curled her lips, you cannot often take an archmage by surprise, yet sometimes it is possible. He got a full fine mental load that blacked him out. "Hurry, Sullust, we need another cell. And we've a hostage now. Call an alert. We need the crew. Why, this is getting funny now."

OOC: emergency code received

IC: "Slow down, Sullust, and get yourself a keg of something. Omlette is alerted and waiting, the cells have been prepared. I thought they would be needed and sent him a signal. His robs are on their way to get your detainees and lock them in. So catch your breath. I'll listen in on them. Do you consider them a serious threat? I'd like to know, as in that case I'll knock them out if necessary."

And, there is a difference between participating in and usurping a thread.

Back in the dining room, Mina and ef had been listening to various intercoms, sipping coke and coffee. They'd done so silently at first, until ef's face started to mirror her expressive thoughts and Mina, watching her, burst out giggling. Her eyes asked an excited, mischievous question. ef nodded.

"Wouldn't be able to keep you out of trouble anyway. Do your worst. Listen and don't forget, in a tight corner call for me in your mind, I'll hear you."

OOC: Stay with the character you choose, Zephyr, and just help the town without introducing more mires. If you need special healing, you should have come to me. How is my character to know, if she is not told?

IC: She had worked with a speed that reminded her of her younger days. Her energy was spent. Neck and shoulder muscles hurt when she tried to move them. Fourty scrolls were lying on her table, twenty wands had been magically charged and enchanted. Of invulnerability potions she had seven, of regeneration five. Six energy elixiers. Of healing and haste - she had just started the brews and asked one of the older kids to fill the bottles, how many by now? She went to check. The kid had got himself helpers, clever, well over a hundred flasks were ready for use.

She started another brew, adding heat until she saw it simmering, relieved to know that the kids could be trusted to watch over it. Empty flasks would have to be collected or they might run out of bottles, she'd organize that. She'd need to recharge herself and then get the baskets ready and have everything brought to the town hall for distribution.

Kel-Aziz was carried into the hall when she reached the place. Now that looked bad, she thought, really bad. She beckoned to one of the children, asking for a few things she might need and set to work.

The town's kids helped, bringing more buckets and carrying mugs of water to houses and huts where people were too weak to come to the town hall. It worked better than she had anticipated. All she herself had to do was add an occasional healing spell for broken limbs or a bleeding wound. What had looked so hopeless at first returned to normal within a few hours. Some of the older kids were fully capable and willing to supervise the town hall, so ef went back to her hut to provide much needed magical potions and scrolls.

'It seems to be a pattern,' ef thought, the way the strays find my door.'
Suppressing a sigh she looked at Mina and smiled.

"Well, if you want to see the stars you'd better stay, don't you think? How else can you see them. I suggest that you stop to run and hide and stay here openly with me. You can sleep on the sofa, you'll find it far more comfortable than the floor, believe me. Also, while you are with me, there is no need to search for food. We'll simply go to the dining hall and order some. How about doing that right now? You look mighty hungry to me."

It had been a while since she'd had more than bits and scraps, so Mina could find no fault with that plan.

ef informed Logalot and the two went to the dining room.

"My name is ef, by the way, and if you run into trouble come to me."

"Yes, yes, I'll come. I'm ready and prepared. You and you, get me water from the well, about ten buckets will do. Drink some. I've added remedies to the water so that it will heal. Spread this news. But bring me the buckets for those who are too weak to pump for themselves."

ef went to the town hall. The major's good china would have to be used, much as his house keeper might complain. She'd need all the cups and mugs she could lay her hands on.

"No, sure you don't. I said cookies and lemonade, didn't I ? Let's have that."

ef brought two mugs and the chocolate cookies and sat down in an easy chair, pointing to the sofa. "Come and eat some. And tell me, what does a little one like you all alone on a ship? Did you want an adventure?"

ef voiced an age-old curse on the stupidity of men and let her imagination rumble it back through the centauries with some small satisfaction. Then she adressed the crouching frightened child. "Well you know, before you really get hurt by all these machines and people and chaos, how about coming to my room and tell me about your problem? We may find a solution. We certainly find cookies and some lemonade, because I know I have them. Don't run away again. You don't have to."

The child stared at her, motionless. "I'm going to my place now and read a bit. Just so you know." She turned and went back to her cabin.

One glance at people's faces was enough to confirm the truth of what Rathlan had told her. An epidemic had spread in the town. But magical? No. The aura of magic was missing.

'Small consolation' ef thought, aware that it might be easier to deal with magic sometimes than with the natural afflictions. 'Spreading this fast..something to do with corpses and undead? Whatever it is, how do I heal a town that is fighting a battle? No way to protect the healthy from catching it. No chance to nurse the sick.'

She entered her hut where she found Maestro's message and sighed.

'I do have a limited supply of a very potent plant. Small amounts work wonders. Yes, but the time it takes to make potions for everyone however much diluted..'

"Diluted" she almost shouted the word, her face alive and radiant now. "I have it."

She set to work, searching among her plants. It did not take long to prepare a small flask containing a very strong, a very concentrated potion. Grabbing it she left the house and hurried to the water well.

All and everyone got their drinking water from there, they all had to pump there. It should work.

She emptied her flask into it.
