OOC: My God, a criminal's life is exhausting. You grow old before your time with all that up and down and right and left. IC: "Mmh. Hell and damnation. Ilofekh miscalculating? Even under the guillotine his style should be up to more than that. Doesn't sound like the man I know. But oh yes, caution is necessary. I'd like to know who sent me that. Mmh..." "Errand boy, bring this note to the liaison, will you, and thanks." "Dear sir, may I ask for half an hour of your valuable time? I have a matter of some urgency to bring to your notice. ef Management of The New Silvar Inn" 'And now I'll wait. And see.' -------------------- Polaris Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

"Will one of you errand boys - yes you - take this letter to the liaison? Thank you." Dear friend, this is good and desastrous news, depending how I look at it. Thank you for taking the time to show me a path I feel I can easily follow. As always, ef "Lethalis, policies have to change after this assassination. We will have to be extremely careful as to how and when we distribute. Also you are of now my official private army sent out to destroy all skribbane rings for the sake of the country. No enmity, no competition - we simply fight the evil, supporting our new army leader as best we can. Spread that around, will you, so that everybody knows it." -------------------- Polaris Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

OOC: If you want my honesty I will have to quote Ragnarok's signature: Side effects may include: ...nausea, vomiting... I cannot change your fascination with blood and destruction, so do something useful and bring down a child brothel (though I'm not sure if such things are permitted by the CoC) OOC: Ouroboros, your nephil died. Read previous posts for explanation. [ Thursday, March 13, 2003 09:50: Message edited by: ef ] -------------------- Polaris Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

"Thank you, Rathlan, yes, if you deliver the skribbane to Lightbridge and keep your eyes and ears open while you do that, you greatly help me. And thank you again for bringing in the gnomes. Their support is invaluable. Carolyn's fort might be a godsend. Her amazons are terrible warriors, though much more than that. They are extremely practical women with a wide range of talent and knowledge spread among them. If you deem it necessary you can draw on their resources, their advice and help. Try them." -------------------- Polaris Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

"While away spying? Now that concerns me. Keep my coffee warm, Carol, see you later, there's something I have to attend to." And hurrying over to the inn: "Firedrake, I'm all ears. What have you got?" -------------------- Polaris Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

OOC: that seems a bit much to me. Do you really need all that? OOC: this is a new project. It's a women's fort, led by a woman. It is an experiment. Looking into the other RP's we find that the girls leave them after a while, because they don't like what's going on. So this is a place for them and their stories. They can interact with you, but when they don't want to, they have a place of their own. "Oh no, Lone Flame, you cannot do that. Carolyn is an old friend of mine, I'm overjoyed to see her, and might consider visiting the fort for a while." "Oh, Carol, it's been ages. So happy to know you around. Sorry, I'm creating trouble for you. Send me your addicts. We'll cure them. We need a long, nice chat together. I'm sure you could help me with a few projects of mine. What about your garrison? Still full of beauties? You always had an eye for that. Don't know how you do it. I'll come over with you. You used to have that very special blend of coffee mixtures. I'd like to taste that again. And how's your daughter? In the army already? Ah, you must fill me in on a great many points. The boys don't need me for the fighting and I will be aware when someone's wounded seriously and come." OOC: Lone Flame, I don't know Final Fantasy 5. Nor any of the games or series you have been refering to. It would be nice, if you stayed with spidweb things or things that you explain. OOC: Ouroboros, what lich? Could it be that you are in a storyline that others have long completed and left? OOC: Someone please tell me, how many enemies you fight. IC: "Well, Lethalis, it's done and heals fine now. But try to be careful with that spot for a while, will you." OOC: I'll help. But boys, I am no warlord. Nor can I learn to be. If you need bloody battles, you better choose a general to lead you. Sorry about that. But I can only be what I am. I need all the girls to return to the inn. Please Aria and Riibu, find out what the people all around us need and want most to build their communities up again. With enemies all around, we should start building up a guerilla structure that is supported by the goodwill of the people of the land. Structures of that kind are almost invincible. PM me about ideas of your own. Lounge Lizard and Rosycat, PM me. I usually create a folder for the save files and take care to save only into this. That way you are on the safe side. Otherwise you can search for your files in the most exotic places. -------------------- Polaris Rache's A3 Site reformatted 2/3 done Rache's A3 Site, original version Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

I have run that demo on a Pentium I, a Pentium II and my current custom made AMD. With windows 95, 98 and 2000. It never crashed. Should you use XP, that can be fairly unpredictable at times. I hear that there are patches for a better compatibility, especially with older games. -------------------- Polaris Rache's A3 Site reformatted 2/3 done Rache's A3 Site, original version Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

I'm on Windows 2000, which should not be so different from NT. You should be able to install a higher directX-version. And try not to change the resolution. Whenever I do that, the outcome is catastrophic. As long as I simply overlook the option, everything is fine. On second thought: if you go into the startmenue, you'll find a search option, below that a help option, and below that an exe option. Click the exe option open and type: "dxdiag", then click on "ok". A window opens with a couple of tests for directX. Do the tests and follow the promptings. Though updating your directX-version will very probably be the best solution.
