That's just not fair... you can't give us all some pointless posting goal and then take it away. It just wastes our time...

I mean seriously, why double post on an already doomed topic?

Uh... carrying over from the other topic (one of them really ought to be locked), that hermit near Delis doesn't really do much of anything, if I recall correctly.

According to one of these walkthroughs, you need to go talk to Winterhouse in Lorelei (he owns an inn there). Ask him about rumors he's heard.

It appears you had things out of order, as Foxfire doesn't come into the picture until after you've spoken with Winterhouse. Have fun with the Mad Monks (you'll see what I mean later)...

EDIT: Another helpful tip... it helps to use the EDIT button instead of double posting. It makes fewer people angry.

EDIT 2: Had to fix the link.

For the record, you didn't need to post it again. Somebody could've just moved it to the Avernum Series forum (by which I mean one of the mods).

What'd you mean by max 99?

Uh... this should be in the Avernum Series forum. Somebody should move it.

What have they told you to do? And how high is your reputation? Did either of them tell you anything remotely helpful?

Agreed... just a quick montage of the other champions fighting their dragons would've been awesome. It just felt like a letdown when they skipped straight to Harry. (at least they avoided that with the other challenges)

Note: Chika absorbs effects that you have, not ones that you cast on her. So, if you bless your character, Chika takes that blessing for herself. If your character is invulnerable, Chika takes that away and becomes invunlerable. Everything that happens to your character gets absorbed by Chika (except damage).

So, think of something that Chika doesn't want to absorb.

Saw it the night it came out. Literally, at midnight the night it came out. Some wonderful group on my campus was offering free tickets to that first showing, and I couldn't help but go for it.

Having read the book lessens the quality of the movie to me, but it was generally good. I mean, SFX good as always, though some bits were clearly added just for the movie.

Yes, beams are definitely annoying... quite possibly the least enjoyable part of Bahss, at least to me. But don't forget about the readme file (I believe it has the solution).

Just try not to get yourself trapped... I somehow managed that once.

Hm... I apologize for that outburst. Anyway...

IC:

Sequoia stared out of the cave mouth's shelter at the solid whiteness. This is pleasant, he thought, and he actually meant it. Such calm had thus far escaped him on this journey, and he welcomed the quiet moment with open arms. And open eyes, for that matter. Snow pelted him in the face as he stood in the utter silence of the storm.

Then the mountain moved, a sickening grinding rumble which lasted for about a minute (or so it seemed to the druid). Sequoia slowly picked himself up off the icy ground, brushing a few stray snowflakes off his worn cloak. Nothing broken, just a bruise.

That's a bit odd... he thought. He knew about earthquakes. He had even participated in a few. But this was just strange... it felt like the mountain had actually moved, instead of the random shaking characteristic of earthquakes. He shrugged it off, mentally filing it under "some unnatural magical event".

He turned to face the interior of the cave. The back of the cave sloped upward into a somewhat narrow passage, and appeared to have a few torch brackets in the walls. Of course, they held nothing but icicles now, but that didn't seem to be a problem. It just meant one more thing to hold onto.

Suddenly, Sequoia heard a voice from outside the cave. It was a little muffled by the storm's thickness, but it definitely sounded humanoid. He crouched behind an ice-covered stalagmite near the entrance, expecting the worst. He wondered how effective his spells would be at this altitude, in this kind of climate... then tensed as the voice split into two distinct ones as it grew closer.

Needless to say, it was a relief when he saw Lisha and the elf step into the cave. At least it was a relief to see Lisha... Sequoia was still unsure about the elf after seeing the... thing... in her eyes.

OoC: I'm blanking on dialogue.

EDIT: typos... (grumble)

Still, don't be surprised if there are no stats this month. It seems like Aran is pretty busy with National Novel Writing Month.

I have to agree with you there, Kel. Keyboard movement got powerfully awkward when auto-centering died. That, and it's annoying to accidentally skip text boxes when you're holding down a keyboard movement (particularly when moving south and pressing 1).

But I refuse to give up on it... I just have to wave the mouse around to shift the view and make sure I don't walk into something painful.

Hm... I'm somewhat biased towards DoK, but I am honestly proud of how my outdoors and towns looked. I thought they looked fantastic, in fact.

But excluding my own work, I think Bahss (closely followed by Emerald Mountain) has some of the best-looking towns, and that Mad Ambition has the best-looking outdoors.

Agreed. A bit depressing, really. All that build-up of hope and fresh ideas, then a downward spiral to the end. Actually, it was more of a straight drop to the bottom. And thus began (or rather, continued) the warping of my mind.

(Wow, every sentence in that paragraph began with A. Unintentional, I believe.)

Still, the book gives you a fresh perspective on some normally-immutable ideas. Thus, a really good book, particularly for something that was required reading.

No, I believe I'm the slowest. I've been going through things so exhaustively (I read everything, from signposts to item descriptions), that I haven't quite hit Almaria yet. Horrible, I know, but I am still finding bugs and strange happenings. I still manage useful reports (at least, I think they would be useful).
