I believe you need to use Unlock Doors to get past the enchanted doors. And I'm pretty sure that you can get to the boat without climbing up to the middle of the third level, though I could be wrong. Just try and gauge where the beams of energy are coming from, then charge at the spot. Also, you'll be able to tell if something's next to you when you try to move away. Let's see... my name was created at random, first as a character in an abandoned idea for a novel, and it then became my permanent video gaming avatar name.
