Not completely. Although I do know that Spiderwebbers aren't the only ones to use Room 3, thanks to UA. Everybody uses AIM, Jim. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Well, at least someone does. I go to no fairs, although the Washington County Fair is big around here. A big drain on the wallet is all it is. Experiment with creations, choose the ones you like best, and make just a few powerful ones. I haven't played in a while, but I think I have three or four creations. Maybe two by this point. Works better for me. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Not a good place for RPs, Rosy? I don't know about that. It has a steady flow of members, which is both a blessing and a curse - blessing because we get new RPers, fresh blood, like FZ, Prem, etc., and a curse because of what you said. Polaris doesn't have enough dedicated members to sustain a good RP long enough. Were you around for Dragonfire or Sleeper Cell? Not bad RPs at first, but then lack of new posts and ideas got the better of them. The exact opposite is often the problem here. At Spiderweb, at least, we have RPers to work with. Stricter, unofficial, enforced newbie-RPer rules might help here, but they couldn't at the smaller boards. MSW, if you don't like the current topics you could take a break from General. Maybe they'll improve by the time you get back. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. He won't read it here, I know that. If you want him to see it, you have to email it. I think it's unlikely that it will have any effect on the game, but I suppose it's worth a shot. I really like the pack animal suggestion, by the way, but I have questions about that - would it take up one of the seven creation slots? Would it count as one of the three types of creations allowed at once? How strong would it be, and would it have any sort of attack? Would there be different levels, or would it be more like an ornk? You might want to specify some of that before sending it. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. There's something that none of you have mentioned yet, though, about this parallel. If there is a God as I believe, a purely good entity, Shapers are not his equal. First, Shapers are more like scientists than gods - they create with research, magic, etc., and they, themselves, had to come into existance somehow. They were created. Subsets of God, maybe, but not God himself. Second, Shapers are obviously not purely good. That should be self-explanitory. To rebel against pure good is pure idiocy; to rebel against the Shapers, however, is another matter entirely. DIOS/BSC (what do you want me to call you on Spiderweb?), your breakdown left out plenty of grey space. What about those, like me, who accept the divine, avoid the licking of testicles, go our own independant way, but allow God to guide us when he wants and work for him when possible? I wouldn't consider myself a fundie, but I wouldn't exactly consider myself an agnostic, either. There's plenty of space in between. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Rosy, are you implying that the Finns don't contribute to the community? Imagine Spiderweb without Arctic, TGM, et al. Ask dictionary.com . EDIT: Never mind. The saved game files should be in a seperate folder - I'm not sure how it works on PCs - but they will be untouched. You downloaded the full game, and you're not getting a new version or anything, you're just unlocking it. Nethergate seems a bit... old, almost amature, too me. It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't feel professional. Certainly worth it, though.
