Unless my eyes decieve me, Hannibal is on there twice. Why he's on there at all I couldn't say, but two times seems a bit excessive. And if one of them feeds upon human flesh while the other rends it, that should probably be indicated. Also, wth, why Hannibal and not Scipio? -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. I think it's a bit of a stretch. I think you see what you want to see. Had Tolkien written a book called The Dread Pirate, I'm sure people would see "Dread Pirate" upside down in his signature. Serkis' signature looks more like "all brown" than "Gollum" to me. So to answer your question, I suppose it's strangely coincidental, but only because your mind makes it that way. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Soda here, and water fountain. I don't think I've ever heard "bubbler" before. Thankfully, the only people here who say "sangwich" have not yet lived past their tenth birthday. Double negatives are a bit more common, but we are upstate, after all. If I can get through a day without hearing "edumacated", that's usually enough for me. I don't think I'll ever live in the midwest. Weedy, that last picture is exactly what I loved about Slovakia. Maybe I'll rethink my self-imposed ban on going to Curio's homeland. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. I stay stick with Shapers - deciding how to interact with the race your race created is basically the point of the Geneforge series, and I must admit, I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to sequels and prequels. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Yes, it is best to consolidate your storage areas - empty rooms in towns, preferably near shops with money, tend to be the best drop places. If I were you I would try to keep things divided into groups, such as weapons and armor, tools, special items, trade items, etc. There is a maximum number of items you can drop in one area, I believe, so dividing helps there, and it's also less frustrating when you want to find something. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. It's best to leave more than 10 essence points, especially later in the game. I haven't played in a while, but 102 seems like a relatively new game to me - I think my chracter has at least 30 essence free, and I'm pretty sure he has five or six drayks. Having to go back to town constantly is annoying. Also, don't forget essence pools - there are pools throughout the game which recharge your essence and energy (or is it health?) when you stand close to them, as if you had entered town. When you find these pools, try to remember where they are - they can be very useful. They are also usually in relatively safe areas, which is why I use them to drop off heavy items which I can pick up before returning to town, but that's just a personal preference. EDIT: Forgot this was GF, not GF2. Kel, contrary to popular belief, I am not stupid. I call it "going along with it." That was not defensiveness. The discussion simply triggered something that's been on my mind for a while now - the ability to appreciate all human beauty, and even "think a member of the same sex is hot", without being homosexual. Even knowing that he is not a she, it does not necessarily classify as a "homosexual experience". Why is it that females can talk about other females and describe them as "pretty", "hot", etc. without raising the slightest question as to their sexual orientation, but when males say anything of the sort they are branded as homosexuals? As I've already said, I personally do not care - I have such discussions with both males and females shamelessly - but the general idea confuses me. What is it that allows this type of discussion to be held between girls, but not between guys? Also, I am genuinely interested in what TM classifies as a "homosexual experience". :P -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Thuryl, I only said that you are cute. In no way am I attracted to you, or to any male; I am simply able to appreciate male beauty as well as female beauty. I think everyone is, but most straight males do not wish to admit it. Personally, I don't care - if anyone thinks I'm gay, it's because they haven't talked to me long enough. And believe me, if you'd been backstage during the performances, you'd know exactly what I was talking about... TM, what exactly do you mean by "homosexual experience"? -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Christ. I saw the first picture, thought "she's hot", saw the second picture, wondered about the facial hair, and then read the post. Not the best order in which to do things, I guess... A friend of mine dressed up recently as a girl for an English project in which he married a real girl... um... don't ask. Needless to say, it was deeply disturbing. He had larger... uh... balloons, but you're much prettier. Speaking of which, how many of you act? And does stage makeup along with a comb-over make anyone else look as much like a Mexican drag queen as I did? Drama really brings out the weirdest in people... we had a greater percentage of pretty boys than pretty girls... -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Hmm. 10 years, you say? I don't think I could kill a person who wasn't trying to kill me, but I suppose it would depend on the state of the "donor" - how long do they have to live, how much would they be missed, do they have a family, etc. To tell you the truth, I can't think of anyone I'd kill for, and there would have to be an extremely good reason for prolonging their life. But I suppose I might be able to do it, given the right circumstances. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Close enough - Samhain, and the spirits were out because it was the day of the year when the barrier between the spirit world and the physical world was thinnest. Putting food out came from their desire to appease the spirits, and masks were worn outside the house so that the spirits would not recognize the humans for what they were. And I think the Finns' bonfires come from the tradition of putting out the hearthfire, building a huge fire somewhere in the village, participating in pagan rituals, and then relighting the hearthfires from the central bonfire. Weedy, you are aware that my post was a mix of sarcasm and irony, are you not? Sometimes it's hard to tell whether you're playing along or you really think I'm serious... -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. There is little that I detest more than the fact that Thuryl is completely true about that. On that note, take the politics elsewhere. Honestly, can't anyone create a topic without it declining into the same old arguments, over and over? And don't you all have anything better to do than arguing with Ben and preaching to the choir?
