I don't think giant lizards are a good choice. It seems that there are occasional enounters in previous Avernum games where the giant lizards pulling the wagons kill the merchants. If they can kill something while harnassed to a cart, it would be too easy for them to kill riders. Besides, why do you need giant lizards, GIFTS, worgs, or pylons when there are teleportals? Dikiyoba can't think of anything else to add at the moment. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I think you only need one Crescent Stone to open the crypt. Am I remembering wrong? The crescent thahds/shades do not always drop a crescent stone (and you'd probably notice if it did). You may have to kill it again to get the stone. Dikiyoba. Edit: I checked the Shaper Crypt script. I'm almost positive you only need one crescent stone. I easily get over 100 living tools in G1 thanks to a high mechanics skill and the patience to wait before unlocking doors to increase the mechanics skill or to find keys. I don't think it's 150 and it's not G3, but I'll keep track of the number I have at the end of my current game. Dikiyoba does not exploit the living tool bug in G1. What happens to people who stop posting for an extended period of time? Dikiyoba thinks that if UBB bugs decide to delete accounts, they ought to at least delete the accounts of people who aren't around anymore. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Dikiyoba mostly listens to the Lord of the Rings soundtracks and shocked some of Dikiyoba's friends the only day by listening to music with lyrics. Al Queda isn't the real danger. Everyone knows PETA and Quakers are the real threats to democracy. Or maybe it's the people who think that anything is okay as long as it "stops" another terrorist attack. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I haven't played beyond the demo in G3, but after what I read in the scripts, I think we need a G4. But that G4 should be a huge, climatic game that wraps the rebellion against the Shapers up. Either one goes pro-Shaper and the Shapers regain total control, one goes anti-Shaper and the rebels take control, or one joins a third Awakened-like sect where Shapers win but hvae to make concessions. There's only so long series can go on. In my opinion, G1 is a stand- alone, and G2 and G3 go together, so G4 should commplete the trilogy. Dikiyoba hasn't played A4 yet (downloading issues with the Mac, must wait for Windows...), so Dikiyoba can't say whether A5 is needed or a horribly bad idea. But Dikiyoba thinks it is time for a new series. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

For a lot of those basic things (like locked doors, etc.) it's all preset, so it's not really an issue. Of course, not everyone uses presets. Dikiyoba. Edit: Fixed awkward sentence. got any skribbane? Plzz dude has posted exactly two posts so far, both about how wonderful skribbane is. Given that and the fact that the name and sig both relate to skribbane, I think got any skribbane? Plzz dude has a serious obsession with skribbane. I think one can safely say that skribbane messes up your real life, too. Dikiyoba says skribbane messes up your real life too. Edit: Sig change. I think that would be what they are trying to do now, since arghhhhhhhhh has never shown any inclination to improve his posting skills. Dikiyoba politely asks arghhhhhhhhh to start heeding others suggestions, especially since they just want you to follow the code of conduct that everyone else follows. If you follow the code of conduct, you won't have to worry about being banned. It's better to use the system to your advantage than to try and beat it. A Small Rebellion and A Perfect Forest both take place on an island. Are there any others? I'd emphasize the "wind-swept" through area descriptions as opposed to the "mysterious." Edit: Where'd the final line go? Dikiyoba will just type it again. Dikiyoba. [ Sunday, January 01, 2006 17:01: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Great. It isn't that bad of a scenario, especially if all the bugs get fixed. Some of the graphics are stunning (for Avernum). The only thing the scenario really needs is a sequel. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
