Ah, the confusion ensues. Now I've been dazed. However, I've seen nasty arguments on forums because of miscommunication, and I certainly do not want to start a war.

Oh, don't worry. None of this is aimed at you. Not directly, anyway. ;)

So what did you do when a combat started automatically? Did you run out of view, manually end the combat, manually start the combat, and run back into view again? :P

Dikiyoba.

I made an oath than whenever I automatically entered combat, I would drop all missile weapons and absorb all of my creations. So I tried to avoid that.

You're all wimps. I once played through Geneforge 3 without even talking to anyone, nor attacking anything which used a total number of pixels greater than 50. I was using a Shaper, but I absolutely refused to train in Intelligence. Oh, and I had needles jammed into my "f" key, so I had to click the fight button manually every time.

Oops. I guess if you really wanted to vote in the poll but had no knowledge of the BoE scenarios, you could check both TFS and Redwall in the last categories.

I've intentionally set the results to be revealed after initial judging, in case anyone was confused.

So you were too lazy to read all the judging threads. Or maybe you just didn't want to commit to such massive effort. Maybe you're too cool to submit your opinions in some sort of arguable form. But whatever the reason, you can still voice your silly opinions here!

Hopefully, I didn't accidentally leave anyone out or do something else wrong.

On a somewhat related note and also probably relating to the topic, I couldn't stand the multiple levels of A4. In previous Spiderweb games I just found a wall, walked along it, and traced out the outline of whatever region I was in; then I worked my way inwards, entered any towns, and thoroughly explored them as well. With A4 this is mostly impossible for several reasons:
1) You don't heal at the earlier rate while "outdoors", meaning you have to trek back to town every other time you fight a pack of bats
2) Multiple levels mean you (or at least I) have to backtrack, take every staircase down or up, and explore those tunnels
3) In the small section that I played, there were very few actual limits on how far I could move; my system completely failed when I had to cover so much territory at a time

Chances are I just didn't play enough to let A4 grow on me. But the fact is that whether or not I have an uninformed opinion, that initial perception cost Spiderweb money.

Many of you I dislike. Most of you ask stupid questions. Here are your answers.

1) Who is Ed, and why does he scare the crap out of me?
A. Ed is/was a person who suddenly appeared, displayed an interest in BoE, and then started to insert himself into the Spiderweb community. He had problems with TM... He also popularized the fashion of insulting people by associating them with fruits, e.g. "You funny turnip".

For more information on Ed, you can look at these first few days as he became more and more intertwined with the Spiderweb forums. Look for topics which were started by a poster with the PDN of "&".

Ed also attempted to evade his ban more than once.
2) Who was aaaaaaaargh (sp) and what's all this about Beethoven's Fifth? I liked Beethoven's Fifth...
A. aaaaaaaaaargh (sp), who also went by "the horned slayer", started a million of pointless topics and needed to mature a bit more before he could really be tolerated on Spiderweb. Some examples of his topics on this page.
3) What's all this I hear about Imbanse, bots, and Alorael/Arancaytar?
A. The legend has become a bit convoluted, but it's generally accepted that Imban is everyone, Arancaytar wrote auto-posting programs for everyone including himself, and Alorael was either the first of these bots or the creator of Arancaytar.
4) What's the conspiracy, and who's a part of it?
A. There are multiple conspiracies, and conspiracies within conspiracies. One is the Polaris conspiracy; it isn't safe to talk about that in the open. Another is the voting conspiracy, by which Thuryl was elected a moderator and then, suspiciously enough, stepped down and was replaced by Aran. Aran soon after also gained a new custom title, this one being "Man of the People"..
5) Who is this TM fellow, and does he really eat souls?
A. TM is a charming young man who's produced many scenarios for BoA and BoE. If you want to learn more about his BoX contributions, see the Lyceum. You'll learn soon enough.

If you're just interested in TM's personality, good luck. He's currently banned for being horribly spiteful. Some examples of his unique style. If you want to go straight to the horse's mouth, he can be contacted through the AIM screenname of "TerrorsMartyr". Due to the fact that TM is constantly busy being otaku, he's always online. Always.
6) Who's Alec?
A. A potty-mouth who writes nasty things about nearly everyone. He wrote a short story about Jeff Vogel and The Creator (1/2). He also hates Jews - look for someone posting by the name of "Manumissionist Party of Valorim". Alec is a very old member despite the fact that he posts with a very new account. He's (at the time of posting) banned, but has said that he's not returning anyway... However, he's returned all of the other times.
7) What is Desperance? Do I really want to know?
A. Desperance is where all of the smartest people on the internet get together and swear at each other. Sometimes they swear at people who aren't present, such as political leaders. The likes of Thuryl, Alec, Djur, and TM can be contacted through Desperance, although you probably wouldn't enjoy the contact or the responses.
8) If I enter a debate and my member number is over 5000, will I be raped?
A. Yes. Through and through.
9) I'm clueless and annoying, would you please answer another of my questions?
A. Erm... Sure, I'll get right on it. Just go ahead and post here, one of my lackeyes will help you.

Kill things. In the process of killing things, complete quests. Get quest rewards. Kill slightly stronger things. Etc.

I'd give a more detailed answer, but I have very little to work with. Please tell us which game you're playing.

*Necro*

I quit Runescape two months ago. But then my friend was talking about the game today, and I suddenly remembered that I had lots of stuff just sitting in my unused account. I figured that I had for sure quit this time and so could afford to give up all my hard-earned gold and whatnot (in the range of about 1 Million). So I logged on, and lo and behold Jagex had invited me to become a Player Moderator.

So if you want a friend in a high place, ;) , you may want to add Rakshasi2 to your friend's list. I probably won't help you subvert justice and I might have quit again, but at least you can show me to all your little friends.
