Untrue. West of Grindstone, near the river, is a huntre that lvies alone. He is friendly enough an speaks with you, and if you ask him about the area he mentions a cave to the south, where adventurers used to travel to, and that he had seen a great number of them enter and leave.

Radiant Soulblade.

Allot and allot of XP.
You can also alter yourself to gain the powerful spells. Altering does not affect your mind.

In G1, it was virtually impossibel to stay alive without using canisters (unless you played as a Guardian), as the very first skills and spells were gained through use of canisters.
But in G1, canisters only affected your mind after like 10-15 of them, and never caused you to attack anyone.
It might be that canisters have been made "purer" in G2 and G3, and thus has an increased effect on your mind, or that Jeff wanted to show the obviouse side-effect of power, i.e corruption.
My money is on the latter.

That's the problem. Most of the useful and fine artifacts come so late in the game that you don't have any real use for them afterall.
Somewhat disappointing.

Forget pyroroamers. Dikiyoba wants to be able to create exploding slimes in G4.

Edit: Fixed quote.

Like they would be any better? Have Pyroroamers ever been used for anything? Are they usefull..At all?
I think I remember Delicious Vlish saying something about using them for humor reasons. To be more precise; He used to charge Master Hoge with a pack of them, just because he though the idea was funny.

Look here, if he is Solberg, one of the oldest and most powerful mages of Avernum, he could probably keep his damn cat alive. Even if it died one would thinkt hat he could have animated it.

Edit: But personally, I think Cheeseball was removed because Jeff didn't want to go through the pain of making a nice-looking graph in Poser.

A small toolshed (or something like that) with a lever inside of it. Pull the lever to reveal a hidden passage.
The shed can be found up against the rockwall, west of Baghra.

I was never too fond of the Oozing Blade, or any other sword in A4 for that matter. The only one worth my time was the Radiant Soulblade, but even that felt kinda weak.
Man, I miss the claymores of old, from A2 and G2.

I collected all Shaper Equipment in G3 on the first three islands, only to sell them on the fourth in a quest.
I got 89 sets, giving me 3560 gold and 356 xp. I found the xp reward kinda low, to be frank.

This whole "Shaped Rebel" thing won't work. That means you have to use Canisters to survive, meaning that you have to grow mad with power, and thus the game becomes very rigid, with only one way to do things.
However, as the war continues, the other magical sects that have been mentioned before (and I have mentioned this before) might very well have somehow gained access to Shaper arts, and studied it without using canisters.
..But of course, that would probably mean that you start out as an "Apprentice" once again. This is a pickle.
In either way, I am actually tired of Canisters by Geneforge 2, and really tired of them by Geneforge 3. The Geneforge world got so much possibility, so many chances of great roleplay. Intra-shaper conflict, sect vs sect conflict, Shaper vs Outsider conflict.
But I know this is too much to hope for, and that Jeff will continue with his original plot. I just hope it will have a new and intresting twist, now that we don't have to play as a Shaper.

The screen south of Koth's Lair, i.e before you actually enter Koth's lair.
You fought an Eyebeast there, which had dominated a Slith, a Human, a Nephil and a Vahanati. Search around that area, and you will find a cave that will lead you across the river to the south-west corner of the screen, you will have to dispell some barriers on the way. Tell the man there that you have killed the eyebeast, and he will make you your potions.

Some books, movies and games are worth reading/watching/playing again, simply because the brain has this marvelous abillity to forget things when it haven't experienced it in a long time.
You may remember the grand plot, but not exactly, and not the fine details.
And what makes a book/movie/game is often the fine details.

For me, such a book is Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, or Man's Wordly Goods, and perhaps also A Conspiracy of Dunces (haven't given it a second try yet, but I know I will.)
For an example of a movie I would have to say Twelve Monkeys, and games such as Civilization II and Geneforge 1.

In the end, it is all about preference, I know my dad has read probably over 10.000 books, and rarely reads a book twice, but even he has. Afterall, having read so many books, how can you really remember every single one that good?

It's the small things that make the difference. Just give me a few scrapes of change here and there, and I will be fine with the rest of the static, monotome world around me.
In G3, you had the time-display, telling you how much time has passed since you left the school. And time slightly altered things in the game. That was great. I sort of miss the seasons from previouse Avernum, with the special days and festivals.

Another small thing that makes the game more fun is the small, hidden jokes. The ongoing "evil altar" jokes still makes me laugh.
