Speaking of Enduring Armor, Enduring Shielf, Protection and all that crap..Have you a clue what and how much Arcane Shield boosts? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." quote:Not quite. Listen to the Portal Mage in Fort Avernum. He says that you will be taken to the location, along with "..Most of your spirit." Most of it, not all of it. I think that's enough to cause an unpleasant sensation. ..Of course, to know for sure, we would have to first ride the pylon, and then do it the Douglas Adams way. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." quote:Correct, Lighting Spray is a clean rip from Geneforge, except with better targeting. In Geneforge, it would only hit "close" enemies in the same direction. Now you can have your mage stand with one foe infront of you, one to the left and one to the right, and hit them all. In Geneforge, you would have hit all if they were all standing to the left/right/back of you, or one, if they were not. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." My Archer traded his Archer's Band for Shadow Ring. As I thought then. +2 Levels of Damage, +2 Anatomy, +2 Lethal Blow and higher Armor than Pearlescent Band makes Avengers Ring cleary worth it. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I came across the Avenger's Ring, and it looked real nice, too bad my main warrior alrleady had the Pearlescent band, which worked good for him (being a Slith with Polearms and all). I asked myself which one I shoudl choose, and quickly came to the conclusion that the Pearlescent Band gives +2 Polearms, but the Avenger's Ring give 2 extra levels of damage in combat, and Anatomy (which gives extra damage vs humanoids, too) and increased armor. Now, what is my question? My question is if 2 levels of Polearms gives equal damage increase as "2 Extra levels of damage in combat." An increase in Polearms, does it give an extra 5% to hit and an extra level of damage, or is it more? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Run down (about 2-3 screens down) to the Tower Colony, and learn Dispell Barrier. All it takes is a short quest, which involves killing a demon (not too hard on Normal). That's what I did, got tired of all the barriers. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Okey, I guess that makes sense, but where does the "level" say for weapons, for us regular folks that don't know much about scripting, editing or even in-depth knowledge of statistics? I mean, it could just say that it does exactly that.. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I was pondering getting one of 'dem Fine spears for my Slith Warrior, and I went to Gnass to buy one from their highly-reputed smith, Shath. He doesn't seem to like me, but I got plenty of coin to pay with, so I don't care. Now, I checked the stats for Slith Spear. It says "Abillities: Slith Spear - Base damage 8-24." That's not too much, I got Spear of the Fen, and it does plenty of more damage (12-36). I check the FINE spear, and hope it will do a very decent damage, like in Avernum 2. This is what I saw; "Fine Slith Spear. Abillities: Slith Spear - Base damage 6-24" Err? You see something wrong with this? The Fine Slith Spear does even less damage than a normal Slith Spear (And is apparently a Slith Spear, while the normal Slith Spear has the abillity "Spear." Weird.) Is this a bug, or is Shath trying to rip me off on purpose? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I have returned! ..And you better have bloody-well missed me. Haven't posted on Spidweb since I got bored with Geneforge 3, but now I am back, having bought A4 and all. I don't use an army, I use only one creation, since a multitude of them eats my XP. I use whatever strongest creation is available for my prefered Shaping skill. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days."
