I have a .Rar file I would like to open, and I have a Mac. I can't seem to find an program that will do it for me.
Anyone got a clue?

Google for StuffIt. I don't have time to get a link now, but it's a decompressing tool that works on rar files.

Edit: And supports Mac, which is the important part.

MacPAR deLuxe for OSX decodes RARs and PARs I do believe. I haven't found a utility to decode PARs for OS9.

How about this list?

—Alorael, who would get StuffIt. The world more or less assumes that you have it, so you might as well be accomodating.

Here's a tougher one: does anyone know of a Mac utility which will decode .ACE files?

I'm so happy to reply this, because I have a Mac too. Use DropTar. It is on Apple's site.

See, as it's WinRAR, it's a Windows program...

(The company that makes it, however, does make a command-line-only version for Mac OSX and several other systems, but it is merely called RAR.)

Exactly my point.

*realizes that post did very little to help the cause, but that he had to say it anyway*

Thanks for the tips. Apaprently my Stufit Deluxe was out-of-date. I downloaded the new version of Stuffit Expander, and it worked perfectly.
