I suppose England, specifically Plymouth. Ancestors on both sides of my family were on the same boat that eventually settled south of Boston. *this message sponsored by the family tree maker* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

quote:That logic seems more emotional than anything. I'm a PC user, of course, but I can't think of a single piece of software that I've purchased that is not available for Mac. Since the only games I buy (to play rather than gift) are by Spiderweb, I am left at a disadvantage. I'm happy for all you Mac users that you have a company that supports you, and I wish more felt that need. But it leaves an ill taste that the preference for Macs leaves the PC user waiting. Of course I do get to spend this time accidentally reading A4 related threads, even some spoilers, and have the feeling that some of us are left out of the party. It would seem Jeff could cater to both user groups by delaying release or by using whatever library someone suggested for quick conversion between platforms. Just a thought. *this message sponsored by the hysteria channel* -------------------- WWtNSD? Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

50 cents?? I know prices vary by location, but I've a stack of CD-R's that I bought for $10. 200 pieces of plastic at 5 cents each. You should try to find a better deal. *this message sponsored by fry's* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Only for brief minutes as a break from work. Not willing to invest the time into something I'm going to get bored with eventually. In fact I still have, new in the wrapper, Throne of Baal for BG 2. It would probably be something I enjoyed, but since I'm currently enjoying other things, there is no hurry. Can't spread myself so thin that I wouldn't have time to post here, right? *this message was discovered still covered in shrinkwrap* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

You also need to unzip the downloaded file. Most packer programs allow you to specify the location to which you wish the files to go. Like they said, pick the Blades of Avernum Scenarios folder. *this message sponsored by clarence* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I couldn't find Elton John on that list, and he's a piano player that had a song that was vaguely tied to the theme of Russia. I feel cheated and used by this poll. Please return those minutes of my life, or more carefully consider future polls prior to posting them. *this message sponsored by hiatts* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I don't find it extremely meaningful to fly across the country to periodically meet people I've not seen in 20 years. My peer group knows first hand how effective I am in my work, and I'm not the type of person that needs to tell old friends just how successful I have become. On one hand I could walk away thinking about how they were more successful than I, and on the other I could just make them feel like feces because their lives are essentially meaningless. I don't see the net gain. *this message sponsored by classmates.com* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Ya know it isn't actually a html tag, right? See, I'm just checking because your location shows that you have randomly assigned yourself 100% in that category. The only possible way any of this makes sense is if you are saying that all that hacker spelling is inherently idiotic, and you are simultaneously numb to the fact that repeatedly making the same point turns you from pundit to bore in 0.01 seconds. *this message sponsored by the pseudoleetness defamation coalition* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
