This should really go in the FAQ. It's been asked too many times, especially as of late.

Dragons, first and foremost. But that too wasn't so hard to guess.

Coming after Dragons are Rakshasai, Alien Beasts, Slithzerakai, and Vahnatai.

I guess Humans don't count, but I rather like them too.

What's your credit card number? in General

Credit cards are very convenient. They also have nice numbers, like mine has:

8165 1591 7584 1384/944

It's nice because it contains no zeros or twos, and is even. That's the definition of a nice number. 666 is a nice number, as is 6666.

I first read "combust" as combat. In a state-wide brawl, Democrats would probably win because they'd be opposed by all of seventeen Republicans (and their pets) living in California.

I'm very surprised Arnold won. But he was really cool in Eraser, so he'll obviously be an asset to the state.. IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards My pity for the people of California____files/tongue.gif)

1. Private messages are a way to convey the coordinates of cumulous and cirrus clowds as they cross paths with a weather balloon and an airborne inverted diametric splicing unit.

3. Mensa isn't some great high society group, and it's also not such a breeze that everybody could here could get in. Intelligence has too many levels for a single test to define it. There are geniuses who are not eligible for mensa, and there are idiots who are.

Also, if you look at their website (www.mensa.org), you'll note their requirements for an IQ test. I doubt more than one or two people here know the percentile in which they lie as far as IQ tests are concerned.

[/Griping]

4. Yes, this is spam, as pretty much everything else on General has been since a week after Misc. died. Long live Misc.

5. Classical, and pre-1900s for the most part. I tolerate a lot of other music, but classical is what I listen to myself (except for a Duke Ellington CD I got for my birthday!).

Indeed, this is the one time where multiposting seems appropriate. If he just edited a single post, the topic wouldn't get bumped to the top and would eventually die. I, for one, would resent this occurence, as the "fun facts" provided are rather amusing and interesting.

Keep it up SIS!

No, even if each of your posts is a masterpiece, it gets rather irritating to see the same person having the last laugh in EVERY topic. It's a discussion board, not a blog.

Sorry if my posts are coming out to be snappy and blunt. Don't take offense from it please!

Most member numbers past about 150 probably count as "joining late." The few exceptions are those who got eated by the account eating bug, and those who took a break after the iconboard before coming here.

I didn't lurk at all, but this was the first message board I had ever been on, so it took me a while to get into the crazy rhythm of Misc.

Not many people care about titles. There are also custom titles which are given to people when the admins feel like it.

Just make quality posts, and nothing else will matter. In some cases (especially when the member number is high, as in your case), a high post count is a specifically bad thing, as it means you post much too frequently.

EDIT: Welcome to Spiderweb!

No conspiracy is too far-fetched while the Canal still flows.

I guess that's a good enough explination for the discrepency between my name and my location. Furthermore, when I created my name, Avernum hadn't been released yet. I think Nethergate was the new game when I happened by these forums.

There should be an option to disable the automap completely (sorry if this has been said and repeated and repeated again a billion times, but I haven't been lurking in this particular forum). That would be extremely useful in a great number of circumstances.

As far as notes go, stone tablets work fine for me.

I wrote my name on a stone in a castle on one of the islands in The Thousand Islands (vandalism). I take pencils off the ground in my school since I lose mine so easily (you're supposed to return lost goods to the lost and found). I once broke into a locked classroom to get a textbook I left there (breaking and entering). I once mistook a little cup of wine for grape juice and gulped the whole 20 mL down in one go. I had a sip of white wine on a cruise. I gambled on that cruise, making seven dollars out of five cents on a five-cent slot machine. I once drove without my drivers license because I forgot it at home. I ran a stop sign twice in my recollection, and have forgotten to use my turning signal between 5 and 10 times. I constantly cross the street whether or not the crossing light is green (J-Walking). When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I stole a Micro-Machine jet from somebody's house (I have no idea why I remember this).

Indeed, #2 is pushing it much too far. I'm sure there are gazillions of other pictures showing hordes of less-scantily clad women ready for battle. Or, just any picture of a massed army would do, in my humble little opinion in this corner of the galaxy.

I got a 1 on the spamming quiz. But I prefer using the telephone or Instant Messenger to talk to people. Or better yet, just talk to people in person, when that's possible.

It's a bit different on message boards, though. IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards What kind of RP sterotype are you (4)_files/tongue.gif)

Well, the fact that I'm running XP Home Edition is a testament to that statement. Such a "user-friendly" operating system I've never seen in my life. And every time there's an error, the computer asks if it can send the error information to Microsoft. But when you read the whole discaimer, it states, amidst the legaleze, that your non-system information (name, address, phone, credit card numbers, bank account PIN numbers, SS number, finger-print topography, and DNA sequence) will be sent to Microsoft as well.

And I got 57 more of that same email, which made my inbox 126% full.

Indeed! I was crushed by merely 30 tons of twisted metal and debris and such, so I easily escaped and brushed myself off. But, I was out of power for a day and out of internet for 3 days. I got 34 emails, 24 of which where viruses pretending to have been sent by microsoft.

But really, it's good that the hurricane didn't do more damage. The whole event did get blown a *bit* out of proportion though.
