I've got no problem with the picture. But it really depends on who you want to market the game to. PG-13 movies have much more revealing scenes. If it's just teenagers and older who buy the game, there shouldn't be any problem at all.

Or you could just slap a clunky disclaimer on somewhere.

They cancelled school in Maryland. I'm slightly worried because weather can do erratic things. My birthday party is on Friday, and it'll get all ruined if the power goes out, or if my house collapses.

There are also lots of old trees around here that tend to break in the slightest breeze, so strong winds could throw heavy branches about and break things.

If I don't post by the end of this weekend, assume I've been crushed by sixty tons of debris. IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards Hurricane Isabel_files/tongue.gif)

Motrax calmly opened the phoenix' prison door, and the phoenix calmly let out a great woosh of fire from it's bite-sized maw, catching the dragon full in his face. Unfazed, Motrax expertly gripped the phoenix below its wings and hoisted it into the middle of the room, keeping a strong grip all the while.

"Keep. It. AWAY FROM ME!" screamed Rosy, proceeding to retreat to the farthest corner of the cavernous (as far as cabins on a spacecraft are concerned) room.

"Hmm. This one looks very young indeed. I am curious as to how he arrived here."

"Well," spoke up the nephil, "there's no way to tell right now, but frankly, I'm more interested in how the thing can leave here! And mind you, the airlock is a mighty fine option for exit."

The dragon pondered this for a little while, and came to a decision:

"I'll name him Zeta."

Nothing wrong with lurking!

Right now, SW is not exactly a quality message board. But that's what Polaris is for.

Motrax, at this point, had been standing at the doorway gaping in stupefied amazemend for about a day. Legs somewhat stiff, and jaw aching from being open for so long, the dragon shifted his weight a little bit and shut his mouth for a minute.

OOC: Rosycat, you are rather needed to continue this side of the plot! I'll take things into my own hands if you don't show up soon... :P

After blocking NaCN from leaving the RP prematurely, Motrax prepared to meet the brunt of the ion storm (the dragon could fill up on burritos all day!). Strangely, the ship finished passing through without incident above a few electrical surges - but nothing irreperable or even slightly grave.

Suddenly, the dragon heard a scream that reminded him of the long-deceased Delta and Epsilon. Careening down the corridors, blasting right through a mostly intact burrito (the tuna filling was coming out one of the ends a bit), Motrax smashed in the door of Rosycat's compartment with as much gusto as he could muster in his old age.

The sight was not one to be expected...

Motrax awoke with a start. He had dreamt of reading a newspaper about the dangers of travelling through ion storms, and how that could completely shut off a ship's navigation system. The dragon had dreams like this before, and knew to pay them heed.

He then looked out of the porthole of his small cabin, and sure enough, the ship was careening dangerously toward an ion storm.

The lights turned off.
The doors opened and closed of their own accord.
The robots flew about in a mad dance of confusion.

And then everything grew quiet again.

"That's it," muttered Motrax. "I'm going back to sleep, and when I wake up, there had better be some good news assailing me."

IC: Motrax, in his usual dragonly unassuming manner, ambled slowly up the ramp. At quite an opposite speed of the dragon's travel, the ship tore away from its captor ground, rising swiftly into the night air.

Motrax, in his usual dragonly unassuming manner, swore loudly and took to the air in pursuit of his transport. Eventually catching up with the sporradically moving starship, the dragon entered through the still-open entrance door and shut it securly behind.

After surveying the scene of a very bland hallway lines with doors, Motrax turned his head back and forth, shrugged, and continued forth, ambling calmly toward where his room was supposed to be. And was immediately given cause to swear a second time in one day when a very small, very fast girl bowled into the dragon.

"And where do you think YOU'RE going, little missy?" said Motrax.

Without responding, the girl wriggled out of the dragon's grasp and continued rushing down the corridor.

Muttering about insolent little children, Motrax turned back around only to be bumped into again by an irate old woman followed by a crowd of odd creatures.

"Please move, dragon, that little girl has been naughty and we need to discipline her," spoke the woman rather sternly.

"Well, whomeveryouare, I shan't move an inch unless it is the direction of my room!"

And thus, the dragon stormed angrily past the mob, found his room, and locked the door behind him.

And I'll bet the next three years will feature winters with sunbathing as the popular pastime...

Is it just Washington weather that's erratic, or is it the whole East Coast?

When I start up Blades of Exile, for some reason teh text doesn't show on the front panels, which is somewhat irritating. I'm assuming it's some conflict with the fonts. Is there some way I can fix this?

You can do that pretty easily. Just set up a soundless teleportation node that jumps the party a few spaces back. Set up the terrain with walls on both sides of the staircase, and the player won't notice that they are going over the same steps over and over again.

But the minimap sortof ruins that. Speaking of which, will there be an option to disable the minimap?

Actually, one gripe I have about the new monster's manual is the fact that it features all sorts of creatures that resemble various aspects of a child's nightmares, and others that are just lame (Digester especially, that's just a dumb creature). And they have too many undead that get into an undead state under specific conditions, like "this creature becomes an EvilDoomMister if he was wearing a green cloak on a fine Saturday evening whilst strolling along a promenade when a skeleton lept at his throat screaming 'bloody red rum' and brandishing not two, but three spiked maces and a somewhat large bludgeon that must be made of six toothpicks and an owl."

PCs do tend to have errors much more frequently, but MACs crash like a 1994 Volvo station wagon fired out of a submarine at a barge carrying lead bricks.

I wouldn't have a preference, except that I'm used to using windows. I'm sure if I started with a MAC, I'd be using that to this day.

I need to do something interesting with that, then. Bait the players into killing innocent animals, goes against their alignment... excellent...

And yes, it was Fermat's Enigma that I read. Quite a wonderful book!

Windows emulators take up vast amounts of system resources, especially on older Macs. Running Starcraft for windows was a challenge on a Mac Cube.

Despite the fact that I'm a PC user, I'm all for dual-platform publications. It makes the market less biased toward PCs. Although the shift is very slight, it does help competition a little bit.

About math... Galois was the coolest mathemetician. He wrote everything he knew on one piece of paper and got killed in a duel the next day.
Andrew Wiles is a genius, and that's that.

And in my D&D group, there are no power gamers. We meet once a month, or a bit less frequently, and don't think about the game in between. It's just a fun little social gathering.
And a good DM, in my opinion, should bend the rules a bit to get the game moving along faster (dice rolling can get tedious).

Superconductors can act as very strong magnets, even small ones. But those are just a little bit expensive.
