Congratulations Thuryl! I knew you'd win even without my vote... well I was pretty sure anyways. And you wanted to cut out the fun of the race... :P Maybe better luck next year Stug, you'll have pleanty of time to beef up your popularity until then. *raises a glass* May the election bear a prize! -------------------- "Even the worst Terror from Hell can be transformed to a testimony from Heaven!" - Rev. Congrats to Thuryl! Either of you — or really, any of the final three — would be perfectly good moderators as far as I'm concerned. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Maybe as a fun little twist none of the mods will step down and Thuryl will be made mod of RWG. -------------------- Take the Personality Test! Congratulations, Thuryl. You've deserved this position for a while and, as much as I like and respect the other mods, I hope it's given to you soon. Congratulations to the other final candidates as well - you both certainly deserved to be in the final round, and the propinquity of the final vote counts is fitting. May harsh words be forgiven and friendships mended, now that the election is over; let's not allow the recent hostility (to which I admit I was an active contributor) to create any permanent rifts. What's done is done and what's said is said, so now all that's left for us to do is to move on, pardon our enemies and rivals, and if we cannot go back to the way things were, then let's make the best of it and improve on the status quo. I can think of no better way to acknowledge and celebrate Thuryl's election. Well, no better way that doesn't involve alcohol, anyway. I'll make a toast to that! :P More seriously, I agree that the rancor and high emotional tension in the community brought on by these election proceedings should and will dissipate entirely in a short time. I say congratulations to Thuryl as well, and may he (continue to) help make Spiderweb as interesting as possible. As one of our few active Aussie members, I think we should raise the Australian flag in his honor. Go Australia! Congrats to all the candidates for their strong support of the forums over the past month. Access to the mod squad may have been the prize, but you all showed your desire to make this into a better place. Congrats to Aran, Alec, and Stug for the strong support you received, it shows that you are all highly appreciated within the community. Congrats to Thuryl for being the sole survivor. Please entertain the notion of keeping your clothes on. *this message supports anyone anywhere who has the bravery to run for office* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Yes, but there are few actice members (active as in at least once a month and not just a single forum). Congratulations anyway, Thuryl! Surely after all of this they will have to put you in though. Otherwise it seems a little pointless. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

Which is why, I suppose, Salmon felt it necessary to express the minority opinion. :P -------------------- Stughalf "Delusion arises from anger. The mind is bewildered by delusion. Thuryl is capable of great feats. I doubt all of us are beyond his considerable reach. The urge to make a pun there was also considerable, but I mostly resisted it. —Alorael, who isn't comfortable being watched under. I've always pronounced it "ther-ILL," but I haven't the slightest idea how it's supposed to be pronounced. -------------------- Stughalf "Delusion arises from anger. I tend to pronounce it "ther-l" with little to no "y" sound, but I'm also uncertain. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |
