Change your PDN to Donald Duck. I can't believe no one has suggested this yet.

Unfortunately, such an action would result in the loss of all votes attributed to "Stughalf." I believe I'll have to do without Riibu's vote.

I still don't see how that is necessary.

It prevents people creating multiple accounts so they can vote for the people they like. A full list of voters (member numbers only) can be found on page 1 of this thread.

My Aran vote is to be switched to a Stug vote, if I'm not too late.

Actually, people could easily have registered as voters several times.

Drakey checked the IPs.

Also, almost all who have cast their votes are established, known members of the community, no newbies. This was achieved in a clever way - the registration thread predates the final round by a month, and only the permanent members would be here both during registration and during the election.

But the votes for Stughalf aren't for 'Stugri-La', so changing PDN to 'Donald Duck' might still catch both sets of votes.

Perhaps I could appoint Mr. Duck as my running mate. Then I could have a moniker that would truly confuse all- "Stughalf and Donald Duck, Together For A Limited Time To Provide You With Flexible, Transparent Moderation Of The General Forum!"

Nah, too long. I believe I'll just stick with "Stugri-La." There's just something about it. It's so magical that I'm unsure that I'll ever change it.

If anyone were to change their moniker to Aku's, I'll just edit the existing vote slip to something else. Rowr. :P

You could register two different accounts on two different computers. Eh? :P

I find it interesting how Salmon spelled Stug's name "Stuglaf."

But anyway...many potential voters must have become bored of the time it takes to finally decide anything.

It still doesn't work that way, unless you're on two separate internet providers and never mix up the accounts/providers.

Since Aran withdrew, I vote for Stughalf.

:) No offend Thuryl, it's just because if I had to choose between heart and mind I would choose the heart.

Aarrgh! 16-16! How is this possible? Juicy Lucy is obviously the best choice for moderator! If you're going to vote for Thuryl (and you should), you should vote soon, because Drakey says there's only roughly 24 hours left!

Remember, Thuryl is intelligent, mature and thoughtful. He contributes positively to the community. Also, did you see the way Stughalf was unfairly attacking Ash Lael's character and intentions based only on a grudge Ash Lael supposedly had against Alec that existed entirely in Stughalf's head? Is this a sign of a good moderator? I think not!

So do your part for the community and vote for Lucien "Juicy Lucy" McMahon a.k.a. Thuryl!

If you can maintain two accounts, both as respected (or at least tolerated) and regular members of the community, without ever using the same source of internet access for both, you deserve twice as many votes.

I'm going to regret saying this at some point.

ADoS, this is no time for harsh campaigning. Thuryl voters, just make sure you vote for Thuryl. ;)

Sigh.

Stugri-La (formerly known as Stuglaf) has 17 votes
Arancaytar (formerly known as Aran) has 3 votes
Thuryl (formerly known as Juicy Lucy) has 17 votes

there are 3 null votes on record
all switches have been recorded

21 voters have not cast ballots (including Alorael)

tADoS - your campaign methods do not help Thuryl. Nobody likes a smear campaign. Your agressive nature has turned me off from the start. I don't hold it against Thuryl but others might.

What Gizmo said.

Issues of free speech aside, the smear campaigning ADoS is engaging in is ridiculous. He is using Thuryl's name, and Thuryl should at least issue a statement on whether ADoS is acting with his endorsement or not.

Honestly, I was leaving for lack of time, but the more I look back, I realize what a pit this place has become.

Hey Drakey - why not just end this farce and pick a mod of your own choosing?

I've had a little chat with ADoS and he's agreed to stop campaigning on my behalf. You can all rest a little more easily now.
