Only once the player goes through that part of town again, I'm pretty sure. You can get a pretty bugged-up Automap this way. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

My view on it is that both sides are pretty bad, but the Empire paid me to go there, so I'd rather just do what they say. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

It's not like the number of bits actually matters as long as it's divisible by four, you know. (and even then, you can just pad it with zeroes) Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Very few MMORPGs have any roleplaying at all. Anyway, a community not made up of illiterate prepubescent player killers would do Runescape a big favor. So would being able to communicate, since I'm convinced that they just censored the entire dictionary. Heck, dictionary itself is probably censored since it has "dic" in it. Furthermore, it's missing the cooperative side that MMORPGs can benefit from. Other players are very rarely allies, typically acting as annoyances or outright enemies. In essence, RuneScape is a free singleplayer RPG without a storyline or direction that happens to require an internet connection, beg for money, and subject you to all of the sundry jerks the internet has to offer. I'll maintain that Runescape is really really bad. It's like most of the other MMORPGs out there, except with all the good things taken out and replaced with awful. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

If you can't tell whether that's Chinese or Japanese just by looking at it, it's doubtful your linguistic skills ever were up to par in either of those fields. :P Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Unlike many filesharing tools, however, BitTorrent has many, many legitimate purposes for which it is often used. It lets you distribute large files without needing to pay for webspace of your own, for instance. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Hmm. I haven't caught word of horrible security holes in BitTorrent, so I'd say the safety of downloading from BitTorrent is about equal to the safety of HTTP or FTP downloading, really. In other words, as long as you're relatively sure the file you're downloading is not a virus itself, it should be fine. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

You really did forget about 2/3 of the script files in your latest sending of ALR to Spidweb, Omikron. You should resubmit it with all files properly in place. (That said, I have a semi-working version on my computer.) Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I'm not certain, but I think the terrain is all original. As far as the monsters, all of their standing poses are original and all of their attacking poses were done by Alec, since E2 originally didn't have attacking poses for monsters. I suppose that if you want the true original feel, you can just copy the standing pose into both the standing and attacking slots, though. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Well, that's because new PC games actually have good graphics. Anyway, I really don't know what you're talking about with instability. This PC of mine has had some trouble with it, but it's almost all been hardware troubles (woo, two massive hardware failures in two years) with one software problem (virus scanning software that refused to uninstall properly made me need to wipe my Windows drive) that wasn't because of Microsoft software, anyway. As far as runtime, I've currently been on AIM for 3 days, 23 hours, and 33 minutes continously as of this post, and this is a pretty low online time for me. I have all the stability I could ever need from my Windows machine.
