I've been told that this game is addictive. I did fairly poorly at it, as my crappy mouse and lightning twitch reflexes caused losses in as few as .3 seconds. I did manage to stay "alive" for 10 seconds once, but the it got boring so I stopped.

So, I want everyone here to play this game and report on their ability. Also, I liked this game because it didn't kill my crappy dialup connection. Are there other games like this out there?

21.02 so far, I'll edit a better one in.

EDIT: A tip: After a couple of seconds, go to the top left of the box. You get a couple of seconds.

EDIT: Scores:
24.79
22.689
25.137

I think that is the best I can do. I want to beat 30 seconds.

EDIT: And I did. 33.598 seconds. :)

After playing for a few minutes, my record is 23.634 seconds. The blocks always move the same way, so by memorising what places are safe at different times it should be possible to keep playing until they start moving so fast that either your reflexes or your web browser's drawing code can't keep up.

After two tries, I've got 21.93 seconds... that isn't so addictive.

11.219 seconds on the fourth try. Given that the movement of the blue blocks apparently is not random, it would be possible to memorize the correct sequence where to move the block with some practice.

Edit: Didn't read Thuryl's post. Heh.

Still, it's not really addictive. That, or I have so much to do right now I don't feel the effect.

The first 2 tries gave me fractions of a second, the third about 1.26 seconds and the fourth 26.36 seconds. Let's see my top score in three mins.

Edit: 31.97. I'm not sure if that was 3 mins but this game is starting to overload my pointlessness sensors.

I got 12.548 seconds on the first try. Then I got stuck on 10 seconds for a couple of minutes, and then I reached 17 and decided to go because I'm not that bored yet, But I'll def try to break my record some other time.

addictive you said? At the seconf time I got to 35 seconds. Then I stopped. I couldn't bare the it any longer. Which person who obviously was bored stiff, made it anyway?

It's much more addicting when you don't have the highest score yet of those currently listed.

The coolest thing is that it is called Escape, whereas there is no way to escape except by redirecting your browser. And no, I've not found it addictive either. Only played it enough to find I suck (there's a good quote for someone) and I moved on to other more interesting games at which I suck.

5.129 seconds. And I thought I was doing so well!

Felt more like 50 seconds of mind-tingling suspense and anxiety. Once my hands stop shaking like leaves I think I'll stagger down the hall and bolster my ragged nerves with a tall cool glass of water.

Wow, on my third try, I only got 13.156.
I don't dare to try to play again, or I will be playing FOREVER! This already is addicting!

I believe that the pathetic slowness of this terminal/client work PC aided me, in that basically EVERYTHING went slowly.

Kinda boring, could probably go on endlessly really. I don't see the addiction whatsoever. SF Cave though, now theres some quality addiction :D

Edit: bored, went back. 67.738. ****ty connection is definitely the key :P

More than anything, your score reflects the speed of your isp and CPU.

CPU wins out. It's your standard lame pc-workstation-client-terminal-server-setup. The client is incapable of running anything, and is also too weak to run most of the stuff that comes through off the server apps. As a result, the fantastic 1MBps broadband connection of the workplace is wasted, because they dont buy clients good enough to run IE fast enough to load the pages as the data comes through...

its almost funny. they should just go back to dialup or something. i hate workplace networks. =/

You've got a new record to break. 245 seconds! Take that!

...just kidding. One of my browsers didn't support the game, and the blue things didn't move, so I just leave it on as long as I'd like. I haven't really beat my record of 21.x seconds.
