Bleh, Riviera kinda got boring. Plus you couldn't actually lose ever. You just could win less extravagantly. That said, the Baldur's Gate games avoid falling into the pitfalls of real-time RPGs in many ways, and are definitely true role-playing games. Kelandon can probably relate to you what I did in the betatest of Lord Putidus. I do that in every scenario I play in which it is possible. EDIT: That said, this IS the wrong forum for Shockwave and Mass Charm. I didn't really use those in BoE, either - there are better ways of committing multiple genocide. While the sentiment is appreciated, it would be more appreciated when it actually is that time of the year. Then again, I've seen Christmas lights up in places since before Thanksgiving. While I suppose some people who wish to send gifts halfway around the world need to start thinking of Christmas in November, most of the world really has no need to be inundated in holiday lights more than a month ahead of time. ...argh. While I kinda agree with TM about the topic, I disagree with him about his way of expressing it and agree with Thuryl that there should be an injunction barring anyone but Thuryl (where we really mean "TM") from using that picture. That said, while Aran's latest statistics showed a small (1.97%) decrease in posts from October to November, I hardly think the boards are stagnating. I suppose the statistics for December will come out in about two weeks and be able to tell me for sure. Hmm, furthermore, I'll take note that while Goldenking somewhat refuted Eldibs's implication that Goldenking's mother perhaps looked like Sailor Man, Goldenking failed to refuse Terror's Martyr's statement. I'll also gladly assist Eldibs in the painful death thing if he ever dresses up as Sailor Man. EDIT: Oh, and I'm locking the topic. It was pointless to begin with and Aran can give us the real answers when he calculates 'em.
