Well, okay, apparently we were arguing over nothing. My apologies, since I believe I misinterpreted your first post on this thread. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

No, that's written in Japanese text. Not everyone's browser can handle it, of course. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

While you have a legitimate point (that actually giving helpful advice of your own invention requires some amount of ability to do it yourself, or some experience in having done it yourself), Synergy, you certainly would not argue that an unmarried person could accurately assess that a marriage in which the husband and wife routinely angrily beat each other with clubs and angrily threatened each other with guns was a poor one, would you? Bah, Synergy, you know very well that's a bad argument to make - despite never having created a Blades of Exile scenario myself and possessing no skills of scenario creation, I can accurately assess that a poor one sucks. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Some parties that I recall... Latest: Ninja 1, Ninja 2, Ninja 3, Ninja 4, Ninja 5, Ninja 6 Older: Varius, Trannon, Lorelei, Imban, Ablis, Rekwan All of my party builds have the party members being nearly identical, so no real explanations of roles are needed. Everyone in any of my parties ever is a mage/priest that starts off with 6 HP (but massive strength, so massive HP gain on levelup) and eventually develops into a fighter/mage/priest that can kill eeeeeeeverything. Amusingly enough, that's fairly close to an actual DBZ fight. It just attempts to be insulting to DBZ by comparing it to Lord of the Rings, which is a very, very different sort of story. Apples and oranges. For the record, Pure Flame of Arnor Shield Wall Strike is worse than any attack name in DBZ. (And no one insists on ridiculous titles like Blazing Fist.) Well, it's probably that I just don't like modern humor cartoons. I certainly liked Tom and Jerry and pretty much all the rest of the Looney Toons when I was a little kid. The only older cartoon I remember hating was Scooby Doo, although there may be others I saw which were so unreasonably stupid that I've long since forgotten them. I said I watched GSD even though it came... anti-recommended. :P That said, I'd gladly take Gundam Wing over it any day of the week. Or just some new show, since I'm currently following 0 shows. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I'm a fan of some anime and I detest most non-anime-style cartoons, as they arouse emotions ranging from either vague disinterest (...well, most) to actual physical disgust. (Most "adult comedy" cartoons other than South Park, really.) That said, I don't watch much television (heck, I don't even own one) so most of what I watch, which isn't very much, is anime on my computer, usually on recommendation from friends. Or Gundam SEED Destiny. Just 'cuz. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Well, okay. Most roleplays do indeed feature evil guys who hate people and frequently kill them. Still, saying it like that... :P Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Wow, this is a bit of a train wreck. Um, since the RP craze has died down a bit since when I originally called for the rules on it, maybe in future you guys should have separate IC and OOC threads? It'll reduce the confusion by a lot. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

It's pretty good, but there are several two-handed swords that are better - two by TM, and arguably a Blessed Greatsword if you're strong enough. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
