If you haven't killed the 3 shades then the final fight with R-I becomes harder. Or if you fail to take the correct dialog option than it can be harder. I don't think it affects the final end. R-I was kind of the loose cannon of the Vahnatai. She pretty much would decide on an action, do it, and then wait for Council approval. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Regarding Dintiradan's Deth Ray, how about the Geneforge 4 forum serviles stage a Rebellion and seize it to use against their Shaper overlords. ET gets brought back just in time to be the first one it gets used on. The serviles have been reading his posts and figure he must be against them. Originally it was supposed to be a major discount if you have the original Nethergate. I think then the new version is to be $10. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Infernal Flamming Muffin isn't that bad for a newcomer. Remember it was only a few months ago that Nioca joined and look where he is now, Considering some of the replies he's gotten he is quite tolerant. We don't want a repeat of the "Ed incident." In the end at Northforge Citadel it's possible to recruit drayks and on the Rebel side for the final battle there are drakons. You can't control them. For the Fens you can recruit melee and missle fighters, channelers that really make spell casters powerful (150 damage firebolts, 300 damage essence orbs), and servile technicians to help with mines and traps. There are 4 minds that will summon creations to defend themselves. Range attacks seem to be better since they are really nasty in melee. Try to take out the minds quickly since the northernmost one summons kyshakks. Acid batons and crystals seem to work well. It's suppose to be possible to kill Shaftoe before the servant minds start summoning. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

It's really the out of control shaping that leads to the Unbound. Jeff hammers home the point that this type of self-shaping and the excessive use of canisters leads to an emotionally devoid creation/person with no respect/empathy/caring about others. The Trakovites believe in creation rights and a gradual decrease to no new shaping. They are scared by the extremes of both sides during this Rebellion. It seems part of it is based upon lack of information since Drewey has little knowledge of the Drakons. The few Trakovites that have access to that knowledge, like Shoragass and the nameless assistant to Litalia slain in Western Barrier Zone, haven't been able to talk to others. Don't attack the golem or use one creation to keep it occupied and off your character. It's everything into Shaftoe. Keep him stunned with submission thorns, stun wand, massive damage, etc. Charged vlish or glaahks also work. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

The nice part about high endurance is walking through the poisonous atmosphere of the Dumping Pit and taking little damage. Except for that corner. With no magic you are going to pile up cash. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

The golem goes away after Shaftoe is killed. It is supposed to be charmable, but I never tried. Just use essence shackles and keep it busy. The worry is that Shaftoe builds up an area energy attack if you wait too long. So if you get messages at the bottom about it then move back for several rounds until it goes off. Jeff seemed to split the Rebels into different factions with Drakons representing the most extreme and Litalia now part of the group that thinks they went too far. There is now a more moderate Rebel force that wants to be left alone somewhere safe from Shaper control. The Trakovites are the voice of reason in Shaping has gotten completely out of control. There are eliminated for spreading the truth. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Ah a last little surge by Thuryl to push me back down. I didn't think I'd stay number 1 for long. Synergy has mostly been posting in the game forums. Look around for the ones on getting his name back from the UBB. Infernal Flamming Muffin had a chance to make the top 10, then he became respectable. Too bad, since he was giving Nioca a run for making it to 1000 fastest after his first day. Aran - endeavor bot needs more work, He was starting to make sense. That won't do when we all have to give up our sanity. [ Sunday, February 18, 2007 13:11: Message edited by: Randomizer ] Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

It gives at least an interesting end to threads that are doomed to go. Sometimes the mods just lock and leave without explaining why. At least lately there has been more of an attempt to educate. How long before this gets locked after stroking mod egos? Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I liked Erika. It's hard to be a genius surrounded by morons. A least in her opinion there was nobody there as an equal. Besides getting to see her was always a fun challenge in the first two games. The third one was just surviving her hobbies. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You can use rocks for a missle weapon. There is the martial arts challenge of bare handed and only wearing robes. Kind of silly but possible with high strength and endurance. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Creations are relatively unbalancing since you can wander into areas where reinforcements are created like Western Morass and just let them fight while you get to explore. Jeff thought he had created impossible areas that were meant to keep Rebel players from getting through them. He hadn't counted on the tactics of players like Delicious Vlish. In the Illya Safehouse near Pirik's office sits a servile who can join you if you have a pro-Rebel reputation. However he gets upset if you start doing pro-Shaper actions after he joins. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Essence matters since it allows more and stronger creations. Anything left over gives blessing and healing so they can fight better and longer. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

You do need some training just to be able to get enough damage in chapter 2 - Illya province. I started a servile with a single creation that did all the damage for him and it works if the servile casts daze and healing spells. A servile with no spells and only creations fighting seems reasonable. After all creation is his worst ability and he has lower essence. You get plenty of money because you sell all the weapons that don't have useful abilities like guardian claymore's strength to self and creations. How about you only use a stick for a weapon? If you don't mind really old games go to mac the underdogs in the RPG section for games like Might and Magic. They are really old from the 1980's so the graphics are primitive. The thrill was solving puzzles and figuring out how to deal with large numbers of different monster types. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
