I disagree that you have an "outside perspectives", but now is probably not the time or place, so forget it.

So long, farewell, and good luck. Dikiyoba will miss seeing you on the list of recent visitors.

They're not getting any stupider. You're just getting smart enough to realize how stupid they've been all along. :P

I'm out of time to mess with it, so here is the latest update (with broken paragraphs): Chapter 39: Tullegolar's Concluding Resolution. If you are desperate, read it now. If you can wait, go ahead and wait.

I would not be able to reasonably attend any gatherings at those places, but I don't know how much I'd want to.

And given Dikiyoba's most frequent mode of transportation, Dikiyoba probably shouldn't attend any gatherings that Alorael might come to.

Despite the fact that it's expensive, unhealthy, a waste of energy to process/transport all that aluminum, and difficult for Dikiyoba to carry home, Dikiyoba is shamefully addicted and drinks 2-4 cans of Dr. Pepper a day. It's really quite embarrassing.

I'll use the character editor and a good third-person editor if available, mostly for testing something rather than seriously playing it. I test BoA scenarios with a god party to make sure they're playable and so I know what to expect for the actual playthrough and I use the Geneforge editors to test different endings if I decide on a faction before the end game, for instance.

Ed was, well, one of the low points on these message boards. He started a lot of pointless topics, insulted people by calling them various vegetables, apologized, begged for forgiveness, and soon insulted people again. He was finally banned. He was here about a year ago, if you really want to browse through the old topics and see his posts.

Dikiyoba seconds that.

Bad news. Freewebs is acting up (and my most recent backup isn't new enough), so I can't access it to check who is alive or not. Is anyone else having problems? And are these the deleted people: Alorael, Ash Lael, Imban, Mysterious Man, Nikki?

The good news is this is problem number three with Dikiyoba's computer. Since bad things always come in threes, nothing else will happen. Right?

I want arrows back. The ability to mix-and-match different arrows and bows was nice. You could really do it sort of like the thorn batons in Geneforge. Heck, you could even include occasionally reloading your quiver.
Except that each kind of thorn only loads into one kind of baton.

To be honest, the only thing Dikiyoba wants from A5 at the moment is for it to run on Dikiyoba's computer with minimal hassle.

Jeff thinks having a vahnatai PC would make their race be significantly less cool and mysterious. Besides, vahnatai would probably either be unbalancing or severely weakened to be a PC character.

I don't actually want to own a vahnatai cloak, though I wouldn't mind seeing one.

Dikiyoba would probably wear a Spiderweb t-shirt. In fact, Dikiyoba would pay good money for the right one or even accept it graciously as a Christmas present.

That is an actual word. (It's hard to tell whether you think it's not or whether you're disgusted by the connotations of it.)

Nalyd, Kyrek: please be nice. You two had a rough beginning as well, so don't make it harder on someone else. Muffin will make fewer annoying posts if he doesn't feel the need to respond to someone all the time.

Unfortunately, it's not nearly so simple as just providing a list of things to do and not to do. Especially since a list like this will get lost amid all the other topics very quickly.

Edit: Jokes made at other people's expense get old quickly. So does labeling someone a noob.

I also tend to wear odd t-shirts.
A shirt with "Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Leave your sanity at the door." and a picture of a door would also have potential. But the real test of Spiderweb loyalty would be getting a fluffy turtle/GIFTS/Alex's cartoon tattoo. :P

Dikiyoba thinks a GIFTS shirt or tattoo would make separating the real Arancaytar from the imposters a piece of cake. Actually meeting him would become much more difficult, though.

Edit: Typos.

Just grab the character you like best and play. Make the decisions that sound best to you and have fun. You can worry about min/maxing and hitting new storylines in later playthroughs.

Apparently, Arancaytar must be based on a common model, because Dikiyoba has met someone who looked exactly like him as well. But since he went outside for a smoke break, it clearly wasn't.
