Eventually, you're going to massively screw up, and then what are you going to do? And if you do it with the wrong attitude, well, nobody likes an egomaniac.

Dikiyoba would like to know exactly how you define "faith in life." Is it just the belief that everything will work out okay or what?

Don't worry, Shadestorm. This is a perfectly acceptable thread. In fact, I remember a similar discussion before.

Really, Dikiyoba can only think of adding less damage/greater defense and greater damage/less defense options to the normal attack. The first one would be useful when fighting a horde of weaker opponents that you can easily defeat but that can hit you as well. The second would be useful against enemies that you can almost kill in one hit but not quite.

It was probably an accident, so don't hassle Blake81 about it. Or the mods. They know what to do and one of them will deal with it as soon as they can.

Yes. If you want to, find the file gf4itemschars (in the Scripts folder) and make a backup copy. Then find the code for the PC character you want and paste cr_graphic_appearadj = 4; somewhere. (I stuck it in right after the cr_graphic_template command.)

Remember, it's not Spiderweb Software or Dikiyoba's fault if you try this and mess up your game somehow.

Does this help?

By the way, you don't really need to worry about knowing exactly what to expect and optimizing on your first playthrough. If you aren't playing on torment, you'll be able to get away with just about whatever you try.

No, it was my fault, not yours.

Anyway, most creations don't (naturally) develop human-level intelligence (or anywhere near it), otherwise the fyoras and vlish and turrets, etc. would have already done so.

Dikiyoba has absolutely no proof but believes that rotghroths have an even less chance than some of those other creations due to a shorter life span. Their skin may regrow, but aging slows that process down and the moment it becomes too slow, they're done for.

Dikiyoba will explain the last two sentences of that paragraph. Celebratory post count topics are an accepted if somewhat odd part of Spiderweb. Don't mock them!

Again, it still didn't hold a candle to our more senseless pursuits. Episode 3 has a total of 52 pages. The above topic can't even claim an 8th of that.
Don't forget that the Episode 3 threads were around for a lot longer (so the pages per day is a lot closer than it looks) and had outside support to keep interest high, whereas the execution thread had to support itself.

Anyway, just comparing two topics can let you draw just about any conclusion you want. I could compare the soda topic to a debate topic that took off like a rocket (Synergy's massive topic, for instance) and conclude that debates are much more interesting than simpler topics, but that wouldn't make it right.

Edit: Wrong tag.

Arancaytar, Kyrek: I didn't change anything. I might have voiced some opinions I might not have otherwise, but the story was already drawing to a close and I already knew I wasn't going to do Episode 4.

To be fair, though, Dikiyoba never thought Dikiyoba would write Episodes 2 and 3 either. So we might yet see Revenge of the Slith! :P

Salmon--that wasn't nice to either Muffin or this topic and you know it.

Muffin--splash of smoke is a reference to Gust of Ice. And by mini-mod, Salmon means someone who (directly or indirectly) gives unwarranted forum behavior advice. Look at how other people respond before you ask whether something is spam or not.

That second to last one is indeed confusing. I don't get what the little red X is supposed to mean! I like the monk and skull one, but Alex's cartoon has to be a full cartoon, I think.

Dikiyoba would also like the fyora shirt to not have a quote with it unless it's as good as the others, perhaps Dikiyoba imagines taking a fabric marker to it and adding Dikiyoba's own quote.

Not true. I am Christian and to me, paganism is that group of basically extinct earth-based religions that people have brought back or closely related to them. (Note that isn't an official definition, just a personal one based on my rather limited understanding.) And dismissal of all religion just because it has led to bad things happening is equally ignorant.

I still have one more chapter to go in this episode. I will get it out as soon as possible. (And figure out what is wrong with Freewebs as soon as possible.) However, I doubt that there will ever be Episode 4 in the forseeable future, mainly due to time constraints.

And, since we're on the subject of depressing reflection today, another reason I will not write Episode 4 is that I don't like the way it has been turned into a stick/carrot. Being included is not a reward for good behavior. Being excluded is not a punishment. There are many deserving people who did not appear in this or any episode, or who didn't get much screen time because of plot constraints, my forgetfulness, or me having troubles knowing what to do with the character. And I really resent the implications that I have to do something or include someone in my story.

That said, I still welcome suggestions, either in this thread or by PM. It may seem rather pointless at this stage in the story, but I still have one chapter to go and I will be revising the story to make it better before I call it done. If you think I haven't portrayed your character well enough, give me some suggestions. I'll use them if I can. (Nalyd, please don't say you wish to appear. I get it. You don't have to tell me ever again.)

The final reason is that Dikiyoba doesn't want to become one of those loser authors who produces sequels long after sequels should be produced. If you don't quite feel like you have had enough with three episodes, then Dikiyoba is on the right track. :P
