However, the evidence for us being crazy keeps piling up... Dikiyoba couldn't resist posting. It would be a shame to pass up an opportunity to have all three gimmicks in a row. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

If the walkthrough doesn't help, tell us what zone(s) you are having trouble with and what keeps killing you. As it is, Dikiyoba doesn't have enough information to give any advice. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Dikiyoba thinks he should have a tear running down his face. Then he would look really sad. Edit: Fixed tag. [ Tuesday, February 27, 2007 21:01: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Yes, that's what it should look like. You definitely need the ; (in fact, I'm not sure it will work at all without it). Hmm. If you copied it straight out of my post, try typing it in by hand. The scripts can be ridiculously picky sometimes. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

In G1, if you have eight copies of any creation on the main screen, you get a message in the bottom right corner of the screen. Tedious but doable. Also look for a canister of create ornk behind the insanely difficult-to-unlock door in the Servile Warrens. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Have you dropped a bunch of items already and are you standing directly on them? If so, you've probably put all the items you can in that one space. Move a bit and try dropping things again. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Okay, an update. I bought the game even though I never fixed the problem. Shutting down all the background processes I could didn't help. What does work (most of the time and at least for as long as I usually want/have time to play) is starting Geneforge 4 right away before everything finishes loading when I turn on/restart my computer, so there's something interfering with it. And now, a new bug. I haven't tested it thoroughly and I'm too lazy to start a new topic, so it goes here. It's not an issue with the game because I redownloaded but it could be a corrupted save file. In two different zones I have consistent crashes. They seem to be triggered by having too much stuff (probably 100 or so items) piled in one area. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

For future reference, questions like these belong in the forum for whatever game you're playing (in this case, the Avernum 4 Forum. Anyway, you need really high tool use to shut that last machine off. A tool use of 16, Dikiyoba thinks. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Dikiyoba wasn't annoyed by the fens. Then Dikiyoba managed to lead all of the trapped soldiers to safety, only to have Cantor suddenly do a 180, run halfway across the map, and promptly get killed by several rogues. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

The crescent thahd (Western Wastes) and the crescent shade (Drayk's Vale) only appear occasionally. Leave the area and then come back, and it might have appeared. If it didn't, go away and come back again. Dikiyoba knows the thahd is often found around its nest. Dikiyoba doesn't remember exactly where the shade appears. The eastern side of the zone, perhaps? Fortunately for you, this problem was reported before (here). It's a problem with Vista, so set the game to run in XP compatibility mode. Presumably, it will then work. Dikiyoba. Edit: Fixed link. Well, since you need Eliza or Shaftoe to be willing to take control of Moseh's creations, you've probably screwed that up. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
