Just be careful if you're planning to actually make a poll, since you can't edit them once they've been created. Make sure it's logical, you have everything spelled correctly, etc. Hmm. Dikiyoba has never actually tried to make a poll either. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

But it wasn't Masha who said the western sea. It was the PC (though indirectly). Hmm. Does it ever say that the Sholai are from the west? They traveled across the western sea for sure, but could they have sailed from the south or north? Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I think it's worth reminding everyone that I'm thinking about switching hosts, so if anyone has any ideas, now's the time to speak. Dikiyoba wouldn't mind Drupal, but Arancaytar doesn't need any more people in his online empire. We don't want to make it too easy for him to conquer the world, right? Besides, putting a dikiyora on Ermarian might bring back rumors of the Averforge/Genevernum conspiracy again, and no one wants that. :P Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Originally by Emperor Tullegolar: quote:Drakons have art too. "At last, you step into the entry hall of Quessa-Uss. It is a huge stone chamber, with massive stone blocks rising to either side and arcing to meet in the shadows above your head." "It all looks recently constructed, hastily built by drakons, serviles, and magic. There are empty depressions in the walls, waiting for mosaics or other artwork. The touches of luxury are waiting until after the war ends."; Dikiyoba. Edit: Added quote for new page. Does it just load and load and load forever without getting anywhere? Are you having trouble with your own website (and any other Freeweb sites)? If so, that's the problem I had. Try deleting your cookies and other temporary files (make sure you know all your passwords first) and see if that helps. If that doesn't help, I'll PM whatever chapters you haven't read to you. Nalyd, be nice. Seriously. This is a pointless topic, but that was uncalled for. Narmoth Spear, you will notice that Infernal Flamming Muffin has his e-mail set public, so you can take the initative and send him an e-mail directly. I also suspect you are capable of talking to him on the bus. These message boards are for discussing Spiderweb Software's games, not this sort of stuff. Please don't do it again. Dikiyoba. Dikiyoba believes the Captain (in the barracks along the west wall) will give you the quest. The ritual can be learned by anyone with priest skills by searching a bookshelf in a secret library. To find this library, go outside the outer wall to the northwest corner. There is a secret wall there you can walk through. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

But the thing is, I never found them to be too useful. They mostly just gave special abilities I would never use, or special skills I could get from somewhere else, though there were some useful exceptions. I haven't played A4, so I don't know how useful they would have been in it, but I am under the impression that special abilities are gone and there are plenty of other ways to raise special skills, which makes them unneccessary. What, you expect Emperor Tullegolar to show some respect for mere creations? As a whole, drakons are inferior characters. There are so few named drakons compared to named humans and serviles, and the ones that are named have such similar personalities that they're just less interesting, storywise. If there were drakons wondering whether they were doing the right thing or as shopkeepers willing to tell you a few interesting things about themselves, that would make them better. Dikiyoba. Obligatory Ephesos-posts-in-RWG-without-fleeing post. Dikiyoba now wonders why. What drives you people to download such games? More importantly, what drives you to kind of like them? :P Edit: Typo. Right now, I feel: The Imperial March-John Williams What makes me happy is: Cirith Ungol-Howard Shore (Oh, the irony) My message to the world has always been: I Am Not Your Father-Prima Vera Angelhair (Well, I'm not. :P ) Next time I'm in front of a crowd, I'll say: A Storm Is Coming-Howard Shore My friends see me as: Exiles: a theme-Yo Bob! Studios (But I like Avernum and Geneforge better. Ah well.) When I'm drunk I say: The Black Gate Opens-Howard Shore (A day may come when I throw aside all inhibitions, when I get drunk and say some very strange things, but it is not this day! Or maybe I don't even need the alcohol.) My alter-ego is: The Black Gate Is Closed-Howard Shore My deepest secret is: Nineveh-E.S. Posthumus My day will be like: The End Of All Things-Howard Shore (Or at least the end of Episode 3. Most appropriate one yet.) When I'm in the shower, I sing: IV. Harder Quickerr Longer-Ben Rogers (Well, at least it's a song with lyrics.) My favorite thing to do is: Wheel of Fortune-Hans Zimmer My parents are like the song: The Black Rider-Howard Shore My ultimate song for dancing is: Tikal-E.S. Posthumus The story of my life is: In The Beginning-The Ultimate Squishy My innermost desire is: Hello Beastie-Hans Zimmer To cheer myself up I sing: The Throne Room-Finale-John Williams At my funeral they'll play: One Last Shot-Klaus Badelt (One last shot for what? Dikiyoba will already be dead!) [ Tuesday, March 13, 2007 16:32: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Uh, I think you and Slartucker disagree, actually. But, anyway, it's finally done. I give you the final chapter, Chapter 41: A Newbie Turn of Events. But... I'm not setting this aside quite yet. Soon, I will go through it again and make a few edits. I'm planning to: -Finalize the reviews. -Take another look at the first chapter -Add a scene where the wererat leaves its sanity with Attorosi -Search for typos and consistency -Add an illustration (maybe) -Anything else I get told to look at. So, here's your chance to think back and tell Dikiyoba what Dikiyoba did well and what needs improvement. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
