My first thought was indeed that it's a "Geneforge/Avernum bastard child", but that's because I don't have much more than a few screenshots to judge it by. Then again, I like both series (GF and Avernum). I think it will continue the story from Avernum 3; maybe we get the opportunity to kill the A3 villain. I hope Jeff keeps his promise and adds new character graphics, then. Other graphics could be recycled, but it would be annoying to see Geneforge characters in Avernum. The story is pretty much unknown so far, so I won't comment it. Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

It's a long article but somewhat interesting reading. There's no need to use such language in your post, though. Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

There's nothing wrong with your choice. Good education and reputation aren't really worth the XP hit, IMHO. Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe. agnosticism 92% Satanism 79% atheism 63% Paganism 63% Buddhism 54% Islam 38% Hinduism 33% Christianity 25% Judaism 25% Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Are you saying that pregnancies are always the fault of the father only? The courts should judge individuals, not genders. Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Google's first pick: http://www.menweb.org/throop/choice/natcentmen.html There's an active abortion thread, so I'd like to hear what you think about the man's right to "terminate" an unwanted fatherhood, i.e. when she wants a child, but he does not. Perhaps not in the sense that he could force the pregnant woman to abort their fetus, but in the sense that he could freely choose whether to support the unwanted child or not. This photo made me think of it: http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Japan/photo80072.htm Do you have any particular clothing style you strive to adhere to? Why? Which is it? My opinion is that it's shallow conformism. :) Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

quote:You made me think of "make love, not war". :P Actually, not all rape victims say it was a life-changing event. The rape stigma is mainly a cultural construct, I suspect. I'm straight(ish), and I voted Nay. I do disapprove of homophobia, but I'm not easily offended, and like most people I use myself as a yardstick. If there were a "sometimes offensive" reply, I would have voted for it. It depends on the context. Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

My theory is that the universe rests upon the shell of a giant turtle. However, we cannot observe the turtle, lest it turns into a nebula of dark matter Schrodinger cats, thereby annihilating the universe in 2+4i (complex) microseconds. Actually, I prefer empirical science. Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

This may be somewhat off-topic, but...does anyone else think there's more Libertarianism in Jeff's later games? ;) For example, more in Avernum than in Exile? -Alex, who hastily adds that he isn't bothered by it at all. Posts: 950 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
