An excellent source of information on the scenarios is The Lyceum. You will find user ratings, scenario descriptions, and helpful information on creating your own scenarios. *this message sponsored by Cliff Notes* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Mentioning them probably doesn't further the discussion topic, to which I would add that there were earlier incarnations of the aforementioned discussion forums. Further information could be sought at those forums via the search feature, except at the Lyceum, where search is fruitless. *this message sponsored by the word extenders club of scrabble enthusiasts* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Depending on the school of philosophical thought to which you subscribe, he is either a figment of your imagination, a figment of someone elses imagination, or you are a figment of his imagination. Tough to prove any of those things given the empirical data available. I'd have to venture a guess that the "Thuryl" you are thinking of is the same embodiment no matter what "name" is there. You still call him Thuryl, despite the clear evidence that he is called "Salivating Steak," or something like that. As it stands, alternate names don't seem to affect his personality, so other than for personal convenience, why do you wish for his name to be Thuryl?? Edit: of no consequence *this message sponsored by Arnulf Overland* [ Tuesday, September 27, 2005 22:53: Message edited by: Jumpin' Salmon ] Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Not mutually exclusive, but generally Drakey won't suffer repeated violations of the CoC by the same person. Thuryl's modship has been particularly creative this month, with the names of two General forum moderators changing regularly. Perhaps next month he can pick a different theme, like Vietnam battles or British naval victories. That way he could be educational as well as dictatorial. *this message sponsored by desperence, now hosting Thuryl's resume* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

What operating system? Did you let the game install at its default settings or have you changed stuff? It sounds like it can't find things, which suggests that you need to reinstall using default settings. *this message sponsored by the pennant* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

"Commie fishing" is the term used by recreational fishermen for the activities of the commercial fishermen. Commercial fishermen just tend to ignore the recreational fishermen, and everyone agrees to call the folks fishing from shore "bank maggots." ps. Marx was a philosopher that pointed out the inequity between business owners and laborers in the 1800's. Other people formed that view into a revolution. Other people still hold that view, but they have stopped referring to Marx during their speeches. *this message sponsored by the CRFPU* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Silly me for expecting an actual petition. I'd change my name frequently except for laziness. It keeps me one step in front of the internet police. Beware the bar at Depoe/Winchester. Some good boats have disappeared there. If he is serious, i recommend joining ifish.net, it is a great resource and the folks share just about any fishing related info they have. *this message sponsored by Capt Oba* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Can the cutscene move the party onto a blue rectangle? I guess the question is if the engine will check for specials while already in a cutscene node. *this message needs a sponsor* -------------------- WWtNSD? Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

quote:My impression is that folks that clamor for the death penalty in a particular case rarely expect that the death they prescribe is violent. Retention of methods such as hanging and firing squad may be attempts by the state to remind jurors, families, and prosecutors that applying the death penalty is not something to take lightly. It would be a far, far easier thing to do if all one had to do is flip a switch. I'm not sure I want to be around when it comes to that. *this message sponsored by the number 13* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Stupid keyboard placed the W instead of an E. As far as the graphics goes, if they are missing from the scenario a blue text (I think) message should be appearing in the text area indicating a missing graphic. It should indicate the filename that is missing (like G5101.bmp). Post that info and Smoo or someone could send you the graphic. *this message sponsored by the kalahari typing school for men* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

They are in a cavern in the SW corner of the map. Use magic map if you have it, otherwise bump into walls until you find the secret passages. Ignore the abandoned camps and search for the occupied one. *this message sponsored by the enhancer* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

quote:Wiki didn't have an answer? I'm shocked. HH is a television comedy based at the fictional German POW camp "Stalag 13." Col Klink was the hapless kommandant, and Hogan was the leader of the POWs. Every episode they managed to escape, ususally by making a fool out of the Germans. They always returned to the camp with good food (which they shared with Klink) or after having some escapade in a tavern. Excellent show, although I haven't seen reruns in a long time. My memory might have credited more than is due for the show. IIRC this was one of many war comedies that aired during the Vietnam conflict, perhaps an attempt to reduced the perceived tragedy of war and instill some humor. *this message sponsored by E-Ring* -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
