Yeah, I was Shard, Fire Shards at first. My moniker theme is elements in somewhat impossible forms (Slice of Water, Sliver of Air, etc.).

I never meant to suggest that you guys were really unhelpful or had "burned" me at some point. Spiderweb's pretty darn good in that area. Sorry to confuse you.

I think Alorael means being able to freeze all objects but still be able to move the screen around. I haven't played Baldur's Gate, though.

Yeah, don't trash finished scenarios. Now that you're a member here, ask one of the good Spiderwebbers for help. As you can see, there are many that are quite willing to help if you have a question.
They aren't finished, they're usually about 1.5 towns and 0 outdoor sections complete. And I've been here long enough to know how willing-to-help Spiderwebbers are.

I honestly wouldn't mind modern or futuristic games after what Jeff's done. But I still like the, ah, less-than-perfect graphics. Overly detailed graphic lightshows make my eyes hurt.

Here's my way:

1. Come up with a plot on the spot and type it in the intro.

2. Design and code bits and pieces.

3. Become really discouraged by a bug.

4. While fixing the bug, realize that I don't even know how to create a download for the scenario anyway.

5. Lay aside the scenario.

6. Find the scenario months later and trash it.

Maybe you should have made it "choose up to 17" so no wiseguys check every answer including the last one. I've only *sort of* broken one - only ONE! - the copyrighted material one. I just typed the cheats out of the Geneforge 4 Hintbook. But I shaved out a bunch of sentences and put my own in, so I probably shouldn't have even voted for that. I once considered mildly insulting someone, but held back, even though it was just teasing.

I prefer "Chanukah", because the "ch" is often used to represent the guttural h sound in Hebrew-to-English transliteration. "Khanukah" would also work.

Actually, you need the crescent stone to get into Inner Crypt. Shaper Crypt...I dunno, I think I just used all my living tools to get in there.

I hate using cheats, but thinking them up is fun. :)

iwonthurtyou - Turns enemies on your map blue. Does not affect enemies that you must fight in special events like hunting patrols.

blindfoes - Makes all enemies in area unable to see you; they won't hunt you down and you can sneak past or attack them easily.

improve[number] - Improves the stat of your choice by 1. [Number] is the stat's number.

teleportto[x,y] - Brings you to the coordinates [x,y] on your map.

I came across the "improvements for geneforge 3" topic on a google search for Geneforge 3 before it was released. My friend and I joined and triple-posted lists of requests, a handful of which were implemented in the game.

Geneforge 4 won't open in Tech Support

Whenever I try to open GF4, it gives me the switching resolution option (although I'm already on the correct resolution), and after this, no matter if I switch the resolution or not, IT WILL NOT OPEN. It starts opening, then unexpectedly quits. I've tried restarting, moving the folder in case its location is messing it up, changing the resolution to 800x600 before opening it, then switching, redownloading, and more, but nothing is working! :mad: If it helps, I'm on OS 10.2.8. Any suggestions?
