It's all about perspective and where you came in. Does anyone have a member number that has some significance about your life? If you scramble my member number and add some zeros, you get the date I joined: 08/06/2004. (That's in American date terminology.) You also get Nico's number if you rearrange mine, so OBVIOUSLY she is my soulmate. Strange stuff. People have questioned the running joke itself, but not the assumption that visitors here are insane. This has bugged me since I first read the sanity/door reference. It's all very well that you say that you are all insane, but is that an empty statement? I've seen the ominous glow in the eyes of insane people. I know what people who have lost their ability to care about anything and to control anything look like. Most of you guys, although I don't often see your faces, don't have a hint of that creepy glow in your posts. I know this will come up if this topic survives, so I'll go ahead and post this: insanity–adjective 1. not sane; not of sound mind; mentally deranged. 2. of, pertaining to, or characteristic of a person who is mentally deranged: insane actions; an insane asylum. 3.utterly senseless: an insane plan. Statistic topics do NOT reflect insanity. Script-like fan fiction does NOT reflect insanity. Slartanalyses do NOT reflect insanity. I didn't say that none of you are insane. The goes-without-saying conclusion that all of us, however, are insane, is ridiculous. How could an insane person find the peace of mind to post heaps of coherent if silly stuff on a message board when insanity would cause them to exert all of their self control trying to keep themselves from smashing their monitor (or at least from posting INcoherent drek on it)? If the insanity thing is completely and utterly a joke, you can tell me. That won't prevent it from being a nonsensical and weird joke in my mind. If you argue against this rant, I may defend it. I may not. But I really want to get my opinion and thoughts out somewhere, and this seems an appropriate place.
