Aran wrote ananas, you silly. Which also apparently means the same in both Finnish and German, that is, pineapple. Took me a minute to figure out what was so odd about it at first, though. -------------------- "I'm not crazy!" "Well, whatever. What is your favorite food? My mom's beef stroganoff: eggshell pasta, sour cream, beef, and beef bouillon powder (not cubes). What is your most hated food? Most seafood, really. I can stand basic fish types, but little else. Is there any circumstance under which you would eat your most hated food? If I were at some sort of formal dinner and had to, maybe. What is your favorite beverage? I really like smoothies and shakes, but I'm not sure that counts. Otherwise, Sierra Mist, orange juice, or milk, depending on what I'm eating. What do you normally cook spur of the moment? Meatless spaghetti with Ragu sauce. Easy, good. Are you a vegetarian? No. But I don't eat a lot of meat, because it requires more than simply boiling water. What is your favorite dessert food? Basic flavors of ice cream (vanilla, strawberry, chocolate) and most forms of chocolate. Favorite is probably a Ghirardelli hot fudge sundae (god I love San Francisco sometimes). What is your favorite type of chocolate? Plain, unadulterated dark chocolate, preferably Ghirardelli's. See's is also good, in a slightly different way. Favorite pizza topping(s)? Deep-dish plain cheese is my pizza. (w00t Zachary's!) Favorite breakfast? Cheerios! Preferably with bananas and strawberries, either dried or fresh. Least favorite breakfast? Oatmeal. Favorite protein food? A big, fat, double-cheeseburger with bacon. Favorite fruit? The orange. Favorite vegetable? Er, lettuce? Favorite popcorn topping? Small amounts of butter and salt. People who make sweet popcorn are just weird. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. quote:The problem is that you need to have much better produce for an undressed salad. Sometimes you don't want to taste what you're eating. Mainstream salad is unacceptable, though, so my topping of neccesity is hot sauce and/or salsa. quote:Also true, although it's very hard to acquire a taste for food you hate. Then again, I've found my tastes changing unexpectedly. Milk isn't bad for the average adult, but it's bad for most adults depending on ethnicity. It's a genetic thing. There was actually an interesting anthropological study recently tracking the spread of adult lactose tolerance genes. quote:Why is it apparenly impossible for us to make decent chocolate? Well, we make weapons. And we also make just enough produce to drive third world countries further into poverty. I hate all salads in general but I do eat undressed hotdogs and hamburgers. People think it's weird, but as long as you get good meat (and buns), it really is good. Gotta go with non-lean hamburger meat and Ballparks. -------------------- You lose. Good produce is important, it's true. In a perfect world, every vegetable I eat would come from a nearby garden. Good salsa covers a multitude of sins. My favorite food is Thai—three stars: Tom Ka sweet and sour soup, curry chicken, and prawn, chicken, or tofu Phad Thai. We have a bazillion and one Thai restaurants in the Seattle area, one of the perks of being an international shipping and immigration city for the east. It's snowing here right now, which means the entire city will shut down tomorrow, as we seem to be somewhat inept around here at handling the white stuff. -S- EDIT. Gah! I's not snowing...IT's snowing. I haven't snowed in a long time. What is your favorite food? Mm, sushi. I guess? What is your most hated food? Uncooked tomatoes Is there any circumstance under which you would eat your most hated food? Maybe if I was starving; even then I'd be at risk of vomiting which would kinda not help me. What is your favorite beverage? Uh, uh... milk? What do you normally cook spur of the moment? I don't. I haven't really lived somewhere where I've had a reason to do real cooking on a regular basis for quite some time. Are you a vegetarian? Meat is for eating, although I don't end up eating good meat as often as I'd like to. What is your favorite dessert food? What's this "dessert" thing? Uh, well, I guess I eat cheesecake sometimes. I'm not really a dessert person. What is your favorite type of chocolate? Ehhhhhhhhhhhh. It's rare that I get a craving for chocolate, and when I do I usually just grab a bag of Hershey's miniatures. Favorite pizza topping(s)? Mm, feta cheese, anchovies, and green olives. Yes, those all go on the same pizza. Also, pierogie pizza is wonderful. Favorite breakfast? Uh, uh... whichever of belgian waffles, pancakes, and french toast is best where I'm eating, two sunny-side up eggs, and home fries? When at home, grits or cream of wheat. Sometimes Pop-Tarts. Least favorite breakfast? Uh, generally I just do not eat breakfast unless it is good, so, uh, Nutri-Grain bars are pretty odious I guess? Favorite protein food? Rare steak, not grilled. Favorite fruit? Oh geez, there are so many good ones... Kiwifruit are wonderful but too many of them causes your mouth to hurt from how acidic they are. Favorite vegetable? That really depends on the preparation. Raw, mm, broccoli. Or chickpeas. The only ones that I just plain don't get along with at all, off the top of my head, are water chestnuts and (uncooked) tomatoes. Favorite popcorn topping? I almost never eat popcorn, but I guess white cheddar. Or copious butter topping. Or... well I guess both would be just awesome. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Is there any circumstance under which you would eat your most hated food? If starving or forced. What is your favorite beverage? Chocolate Milk. What do you normally cook spur of the moment? Canned Soup. Are you a vegetarian? Yes, but only because Nalyd doesn't like meat, not because of any moral objection. He will eat hot dogs or taco meat. What is your favorite dessert food? Ice Cream Sandwich. What is your favorite type of chocolate? Dark. Favorite pizza topping(s)? Nothing but sauce and dough. Favorite breakfast? Cereal. Least favorite breakfast? Pancakes. Favorite protein food? Cheese. Favorite fruit? Macintosh Apples. Favorite vegetable? Carrots. Favorite popcorn topping?
