Radiant Master Jeweller Member # 409	written Tuesday, November 11 2003 01:54 Profile Homepage #6 A simple solution would be to use internet explorer instead; it can actually open folders and stuff as well (or use the dos command prompt if you can handle that). Other than that, well, windows has a tendency of corrupting itself over time (generally after a year and a half or so). You may be able to solve things by wiping your TEMP directory and uninstalling every piece of software you're not actually using (you'd be amazed as to what gets on your computer after awhile). If that doesn't work I'd go for deleting then re-installing windows. Granted, most of it is crap, but if you look hard enough you'll find some good stuff. Radiant Master Jeweller Member # 409	written Monday, November 10 2003 02:45 Profile Homepage #6 spoilers again Myself I was very disappointed in Revolutions because it fails to give any answer to the questions raised in Reloaded, and because of the sheer ridiculity of large parts of the plot. For instance the entire battle at Zeon doesn't serve a purpose since without Neo's solo-action everybody would have died anyway. It's also weird that the only EMP-blast they have is on the ship that's out of dock (instead of having multiple EMPs lined up in the dock which would have been sensible). They could have done a lot more cool things with Bane other than just having Neo killing him. It is never explained where and how Neo got special powers that worked /outside/ the Matrix. And the end really doesn't make sense, especially the part where all the humans suddenly start cheering becuase somebody explains that the war is over (deus ex machina, anyone?). Finally while I like martial arts movies, all the action scenes in M3 are either massive metal armies, or very similar to dragonball Z. It is not uncommon that these vary wildly (i.e. directdraw 8, directound 6 and a half, etc). This usually doesn't cause much of a problem but sometimes it might. Some older games have a tendency of overwriting a newer directx version with an older one at install time, which does cause a problem. Both can be fixed (usually) by downloading the most recent version from microsoft's webpage. I believe what you're writing has potential. In my experience 95% of all game designers on the internet are just plain bad and this game certainly is not. It looks pretty good and you seem to know what you're doing and have put a lot of work in there. Although it might be better if he made a new RPG entirely to avoid association with something most people seem to hate. I would like to point out that one of the maps (which are in BMP format so you might be able to edit them) contains an island shaped like the letters 'nate wuz here'. Actually this happened in Liechtenstein (small 50000 people or so country in middle Europe) which is no longer a democracy since a couple of months. And anyway the USA has somewhat of a history with movie people in positions of power, and Reagan didn't turn out too bad imho. Originally the game was intended to have a fantasy-based pantheon where you could pick a god to worship and gain certain bonuses (god of war = attack bonus, god of nature = bigger cities, etc). This was dropped because we couldn't get it completed on any decent timescale. Unfortunately. The picture referred to was the background for that so it won't be used anyways. Omlette -> No, actually magic is a very important part of the game. There are over fifty different spells that can be used to enhance your units, cripple your opponents and mess with the map. In most good strategies we're casting spells all the time. Of course this isn't apparent in the current web-version and our internal version is still too buggy to put on the web. I agree with you on 19; I'm actually using only the right half of the picture inside the game so the grayish thing won't show. As to Ekanda (the mystery woman).
